Adeyemi, who was a keynote speaker at SIPS, finds himself unexpectedly without funding for his PhD in psychology. His work is aimed at building up psychological research in Africa.
Two ways to support him:
GoFundMe: gofundme.com/f/support-afric…
Patreon: patreon.com/support_adeyemi_…
I have received none of the money I was promised to support my PhD for a year and a half.
I have borrowed money, skipped lunch, and slept without heat.
I ask you to support me in keeping my dreams alive.

In a paper now accepted at #SPPS (shared 1st with @EbertTobi) we used data from COVID-19 and the Spanish Flu to show that pandemics initially spread among people of higher (not lower!) social status. 🦠 (with J. Gebauer, T. Jonsson, & @ShigehiroOishi) psyarxiv.com/vdqpa 🧵

Oh, wait! So you're saying German artists had to have a full reckoning with the saturation of fascism into all aspects of German society, as they, first, named antisemitism & then challenged ("cancelled"?) Nazi culture so as to reinvent a more justice-oriented culture instead?🤨
The problem for German artists and intellectuals after the war was that their culture and traditions were so contaminated by Nazi propaganda and aesthetics that German identity had to be reinvented once again.
