"look at your experience here as a mandala, Chapman. Work hard to make something as meaningful & beautiful as you can. And when you're done, pack it in & know it was all temporary." OITNB Thus is my time in ICU. I must move on & appreciate the beauty of it. It is SO hard! :(

Did you know the word β€˜junior’ in Junior Doctor doesn’t mean young or unqualified It’s simply the term for any doctor who is not yet a consultant or experienced GP That includes this 40 year old who’s been a doctor for over 10 years Please RT if you think everyone should know

Having recently moved to research I can HIGHLY recommend this ...

TRUE! My A levels got me into medical school … 3 years in I realised it was not my calling. After 27 years with a BA and MSc in IT I needed to feed my heart and now 8 years and a BSc later I am still loving being a nurse! Not a fallback … nursing is a choice for me.
Nursing is not a fallback career for people who have "messed up" their a-levels. Nursing is a highly skilled profession for bright, innovative, academically and emotionally intelligent people.

Being a maker geek, I'm looking to design a logo for the canvas bag I carry stuff in as I wander about doing research nursing things. Current top choice is a quote by Carl Sagan Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known. Thoughts? Alternatives? #ClinicalResearch
