Doing an AI video of your own team signing the washed anthem on the first gameday of the season cannot possibly bring anything but terrible luck.

The Philadelphia Big Five died (again). And it sucks. And I'm sorry if you can relate. A column from home ... nytimes.com/athletic/7716313…

College basketball’s economic divide claims another tradition. This time in Philadelphia

The end of the storied Big 5 exposes a stark reality: Nostalgia doesn't pay the bills.

Being able to say “big one tonight” completely unironically about UConn/UMass football is a surreal feeling.

Spent some time watching Ben Pearce film today. PnR maestro who can make complex reads in stride. Great pocket passer. Floater in his bag. Had a down shooting year last year, but has been great shooter for career. Should be an All-Metro guy for Manhattan

Two things can be true - Le Moyne doesn’t elevate the league (right now) - They probably couldn’t have done better I wasn’t certain that expansion was necessary, but I understand the idea that you’d rather be safe than sorry. I personally would’ve been fine sticking at 12 (or even 11 if somebody drops)

Replying to @Sam_Federman
Do you think it was a good call for the Metro to add Le Moyne or do you think they could’ve done better?

For the first time since 1991, two teams who ranked in the bottom half of MLB are meeting in the World Series. That is happening right before a bruising labor fight over a salary cap makes it all the more interesting. On the Little Guy World Series: wsj.com/sports/baseball/worl…

This World Series Proves That There’s More to Winning Than Money

The Tampa Bay Rays and Milwaukee Brewers are meeting in the Fall Classic despite their low payrolls. It’s a matchup that runs counter to MLB’s relentless quest to bring a salary cap to baseball.
