Destiny can only be delayed, never denied. Harry Kane was mocked and called all sorts of names for not winning trophies, but today, he’s a Ballon d’Or winner. Never give up on your dreams.

In case you need to see reasons why Kane won the Ballon d'Or, and edges others, here you go. Merited.

Harry Kane is arguably the most deserving to win the 2026 Ballon d'Or based on merit. -He won three titles with Bayern Munich last season which are the Bundesliga, the DFB Cup, and the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup. -He was one of the best players at the just concluded World Cup, and Top 2 at the national team based on impact. -He won the European Golden Boot, and the Golden Boot for Germany. -He also won the Bundesliga Golden Boot. -He is Germany Player of the Year. -He also scored a total of 73 goals for the season, the highest after Messi's record-breaking goals for two different seasons (91, and 82). Plus Bayern Munich also made it to the Semi-finals in the UCL. This makes him the most outstanding nominee. Wish him the best of luck, hope he wins it.

Harry Kane left Tottenham at the age of 30 and won his first league and a ballon D’or at the age of 33. Insane turn around for his career.
