A small idea, a lot of late nights, and a team that believed in it. Grateful to finally share this with you. More is yet to come.
We are UNCANNED.
A reminder that you don’t have to be perfect to become unforgettable and that is exactly what we do here.
We didn’t want to make just another soda but we wanted to make the one we wished already existed.
Less polished. More real. Less….canned

For emerging brands, getting discovered on quick commerce is already an uphill battle.
Thousands of organic reviews across platforms, genuine customer feedback, and a product people love can still mean little if a single category manager says no.
Can we build a more transparent, data-driven onboarding process that gives new brands a fair shot instead of leaving their fate to a single decision-maker?
If even half of what this documentary alleges is true, it’s genuinely scary.
The idea that rules, regulations and public resources could be manipulated to favour a select few at the cost of an entire country should worry every Indian.
No one should be bigger than the system. And no one should be above scrutiny.

Apparently, an Indian leaving the US to build something back home is enough to trigger people.
We’ll take that energy and put it into building something worth talking about.
We’re not here to argue. We’re here to build. 🇮🇳
Oct 16 marks my last working day in the US. I handed in my badge. Nobody pushed me. No layoff, no visa scare, no deadline. I chose to leave.
Earlier this year I had to turn down an MBA at McCombs. That one still stings a little.
For three years I kept busy in garage door industry tech development in the leading brand in USA through the chip shortage. Every night after work I’d scroll through Indian FMCG. Brand launches, funding rounds, founders posting their first Blinkit listing.
I watched people start with one SKU and a WhatsApp group and turn it into a brand you see in every fridge. I was there for the early posts. I kept telling myself “someday.”
Someday got uncomfortable.
So I’m moving back to India to build Uncanned, a prebiotic soda with no added sugar. I don’t have the network those founders had. I’m starting from almost zero here, and I’m not too proud to say I need people.
Before I leave, I’ll be at SupplySide Global, BevNET Live in LA and Nosh Live top beverages and RTE expos. If you’re there, I’d love to grab a coffee.
And if you’re in FMCG anywhere, let’s talk shop. Trends, finds, mistakes, all of it.
Who was the first person who believed in you before you had anything to show?

Leaving the comfort of a job to build something you believe in takes a different kind of conviction.
Proud to be building Uncanned with you. This is just the beginning. 🥤❤️

Nothing makes us happier than seeing people genuinely enjoy what we’re building. 🥹❤️
More Uncanned, less of the usual. 🥤
The folks at Uncanned (@drink_Uncanned, @Vineethb24, @Samhitab4u) sent me three of their prebiotic sodas to try:
Ginger Lemon
Mango Blaze
Orange Swirl
A few things worth highlighting:
• 5g prebiotic fibre from chicory root inulin
• No added sugar
• Sweetened with steviol glycosides
• Just 22-23 calories per 250ml can
What impressed me across all three was the mouthfeel. They've really nailed it! Unlike many prebiotic sodas I've tried, these don't have that syrupy mouthfeel. All three flavours use real fruit juice concentrate which only a few brands are doing in the prebiotic soda market.
Here's my review. A thread.
Note: This is an unpaid review.

Shanghai’s offices emptying out as foreign capital leaves. Meanwhile India’s major cities are filling up, with Bengaluru and Mumbai running single-digit vacancies in places, largely because of the same companies that used to expand in China. The shift is visible on the ground.

I don’t know what Zouk is doing right, but wherever I go, offices, events, or just about any gathering, I somehow end up spotting Zouk bags on almost every other woman.
When a brand becomes this visible without you even consciously looking for it, you know they’re doing something right.
Kudos to the team at Zouk! 👏
One personal finance tip I've come across recently: Don't just think about how you'll spend your money, think about what it can do before you spend it.
That's the idea behind Multipl's Spendvesting approach. Invest money set aside for planned expenses, earn potential returns and redeem the amount you need when it's time to pay. A pretty interesting way to rethink everyday spending.
Genuinely curious about AstroTalk.
Who are the people spending so much money on astrology consultations that the company can scale this aggressively and spend so heavily on marketing?
What are people actually paying for predictions, reassurance, or answers to life’s biggest uncertainties?
Would love to hear from actual users. đź‘€
Until you try it, we’re just another prebiotic soda.
Once you do, we’re the one you’ll keep coming back to. 🧡🥤
That’s the Uncanned difference.
The good folks at Uncanned (@drink_Uncanned) sent me their new Orange Swirl prebiotic soda to try.
The first thing I noticed was the aroma. It smells mildly like fresh oranges.
On tasting, you get those sweet orange notes upfront, followed by a mild bitterness. It’s less carbonated than I would personally prefer, but that wasn’t a deal breaker for me. This feels quite different from the overly sweet, artificially flavoured orange sodas many of us grew up drinking. Orange Swirl feels more like an adult orange soda.
It contains 1.9% orange juice concentrate, equivalent to 10% reconstituted orange juice, which only a few prebiotic soda brands are providing, along with 5 g of prebiotic fibre from chicory root inulin. It has no added sugar and is sweetened with steviol glycosides.
At 23 calories per 250 ml can, it’s an interesting take on what an orange soda can be. Would I drink it again? Yes.
Sometimes, I genuinely wonder whether the police in this country are deployed to protect the people or to protect corrupt politicians and leaders.
The people who need protection are often left helpless, while those in power get all the security. What a contradiction.
Elon, what about the $250M+ you spent backing Trump? 🤡
What was your net worth before funding his campaign, and what happened to your wealth and business influence after he won?
If political funding is a problem, apply the same standards to yourself first.
Stop preaching selectively and dragging others into controversies while pretending to be above it all. The hypocrisy is embarrassing.
Okay, this genuinely made my day. 🥹
Someone asked Instinct to recommend the best prebiotic sodas they could order in India.
Uncanned Ginger Lemon came #1.
And the best part?
“My pick, best value.” 🥤
We’ll take that. ❤️
