This is what I've been thinking like, his design was always planned to look like this, the fact the music videos are done with frame-by-frame animation and the amount of effort that takes just resulted in this design sadly having to have been fully revealed after Hazbin </3

What's annoying is that his design was most likely already finalised back in 2020. But the long wait shifted audience opinions on what's cool and whatnot. And then Vivziepop's Ew shows came along and basically claimed and turned an awesome Cheshire Cat grin into something awful.
