On #InternationalWomensDay2026 I’m so incredibly grateful to have @CMHaughey by our side. A powerhouse of a woman. Women supporting women 🩷
Help us, help our child, Minister. Eric [@ericbrennan_] and Sam [ @SammyRB81] the parents of Sophie Redmond make a plea to their TD and the Minister for Health @CarrollJennifer to publish the section of the Nayagam Report pertaining to their daughter. Sophie's health and wellbeing and that of all the children caught up in this investigation, must come first. #Scoliosis #CHI #Nayagam #JusticeForSophie #BackUs #JusticeforHarvey

Proposed Investigation into the treatment of children with scoliosis and spina bifida at Children's Health Ireland (CHI) ⚖️Which way to go for the truth and justice? Consideration should be given to the following: 1. A Tribunal of Inquiry has stronger powers to compel a witness from outside of Ireland to attend and give evidence under the Tribunals of Inquiry (Evidence) legislation. Whereas: 2. Under section 16 of the Commissions of Investigation Act 2004, a Commission of Investigation does not have the same powers to compel a person resident in another country such as the USA to attend and give evidence. Therefore the opposition's position that a Commission of Investigation is architecturally weaker and flawed are critical points. The same points the families & advocates have repeatedly made. #CHI #BackUs

In any other properly functioning country this man would already be standing trial. But Ireland doesn't do accountability. We do cover-ups. It would make your blood boil. 🤬

At a Dáil session on Thursday, the path forward for the #CHI inquiry was debated yet again. Despite so much money and time, parents are still waiting on answers over CHI scandals ✍️Niamh Griffin The session heard about parents whose child had a non-medical spring inserted during surgery; a devastating description of a young child left with “physical and emotional scars” after an operation the parents did not consent to. @UnaKeightley is co-founder of the Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Patient Advocacy Group. She was among those who met the minister and Tánaiste Simon Harris about this inquiry in November. “The minister had an opportunity in the Dáil today to explain to families why she did not honour the commitments made to them on 12 November 2025. She made no attempt to do so,” she said after leaving Leinster House yesterday. “These were commitments made directly to parents whose children have suffered harm. She welcomed calls to move the inquiry away from the Department of Health and CHI, saying: “Given the breakdown in trust, we believe that must now happen.” Families have asked for an independent mediator to help find a way forward. #PublicInquiryNOW #BackUs #JusticeforHarvey #JusticeforSophie #CHI #Scoliosis #SpinaBifida irishexaminer.com/opinion/co…

He should be in prison. Why weren't charges brought against him. Minister for Health and CHI have some serious questions yet again to answer. #ResignCarrollMacNeill

Imagine a kid going to school this morning, excited for Halloween Break. Then you find they’ve posted this before they’ve even left the house. How is he allowed to practice medicine anywhere? His trail of destruction is still left behind in Ireland #justiceforsophie

I really thought this was some kind of sick joke! How the hell could he be allowed treat anyone. He shows no remorse for what he did. That’s just not natural.

#PublicInquiryNOW The surgeon who implanted non-medical grade springs in three young patients at Temple Street hospital and resigned in recent months is now working in the United States, the Dáil was told today. Dr Green’s post in the United States hospital was mentioned by People Before Profit TD deputy @paulmurphy_TD during a Dáil debate on the proposed commission of investigation into CHI waiting lists, spinal surgery, hip dysplasia and a group of children who were not transferred from Crumlin Hospital to Temple St after 2008. Dr Connor Green, a paediatric orthopaedic surgeon, who was on voluntary leave from the Dublin hospital from 2023 until his departure, is working in LifeBridge Health in Baltimore, Maryland. #Baltimore #ConnorGreen #CHI #BackUs #JusticeforHarvey independent.ie/irish-news/he…
