I recently came across a talk by Yuval Noah Harari that made me think: how independent are our decisions if someone else controls the technology we need to carry them out? His discussion of AI, power and the “off switch” got me thinking about strategic autonomy, particularly for countries like Pakistan. We talk about adopting AI, but are we thinking enough about the dependencies we create along the way?

A 19 Minutes ordeal triggered by fall of Sarah Mallory at 08:38:15, to Nims at 08:53:30 to Nadheera at 08:57:15. At Highest point Nims was over 500 Feet above Mallory. These 19 minutes of horror with climbers struggling for safety will never be told.

Using gradients, slopes and layout of Seracs in the V of Broad Peak, I argue how direction of avalanches has shifted from North-North East to East (K2-Concordia).
Future expeditions will have to explore safer routes.

Based on this data the air and ground recovery operations are in progress. So far 5 bodies/parts located. One body in SOS position. Perhaps Nims from special forces. He survived for sometime touse his soldiery senses. RIP
