Nobody is saying Seyi Makinde isn’t a good candidate. He’s a great candidate. In fact, if Peter Obi weren’t in the picture, Makinde would probably be a strong alternative.
But here’s the thing: Makinde doesn’t have the nationwide grassroots support, political structure, or momentum that Peter Obi has built. That’s the reality as I see it.
This isn’t about sentiment, personal preference, or choosing one person over another. It’s about political strategy and being realistic about what it takes to challenge Tinubu.
Peter Obi already has the momentum, the emotional connection with voters, and an established support base. In my view, that makes him the strongest option for a united opposition. We can acknowledge Makinde’s strengths without ignoring the political realities on the ground.
2023: We are voting Obi cos he’s younger & far competent than Tinubu & Atiku, fairs.
Seyi Makinde is now even far younger than Obi & even more competent than Obi (clear as day, you do not need to go & verify), so why are you all not voting for him??

Good morning, again.
Band A user here, had light for just 30 minutes yesterday. That's another day to go spend minimum wage equivalence on fueling car and generator.

Don’t let them gaslight you with the rubbish they’re saying. There’s nothing Ronaldo has done that’s special that others hasn’t done.
All they do is overhype the average thing he does.
Portugal has always had quality players but always fall short. Imagine saying Harry Kane plays for a small team because they haven’t won anything since.
History doesn’t do anything in recent years. If not, Italy that’s 4 times world champions would still be winning. No one cares about what Pele did in 1956 or what Ronaldo did in 2002. France 2026, Spain 2026 has better players than the current Brazil squad and that’s what matters.
Nottingham forest are 2 time UCL winners while Arsenal isn’t but their 2 UCL doesn’t make them better than current Arsenal.
Ronaldo fans are trying to make you believe that Portugal has always been a small country until Ronaldo put them on the map. A country that has Eusebio, Figo, Deco and others. A country which their club is among top 7 in Europe and their clubs have won UCL different times.
They have underachieved, yes but underachieving doesn’t automatically make them a small country like Belarus, Poland and co.

Since I woke up this morning, I've taken my time to go through the comments, quotes, and advice people have shared. Trust me, I'm going to take every single piece of advice seriously. However, there's one advice I will not take, and that's people telling me to stay away from politics and focus solely on my business.
I think I responded to someone's comment suggesting that we should vote for Peter Obi, and I noticed that quite a number of people dragged me for it. But honestly, why should I be told not to talk about politics and just concentrate on my business? Who do you think put me in the situation I'm currently in? Is it not the government? I shouldn't talk about politics, but politics is talking about me. Do you understand how badly government policies have affected my business and my livelihood?
I'm genuinely grateful to everyone who came through for me, but the truth is, I'm still going to bear losses. And who created the economic conditions that contributed to those losses? The government.
Let me also address those who believe I made a financial mistake by opening the shop in the first place. Yes, perhaps there were things I could have done differently, but let me give you some context. My shop is strategically located between two major universities in Port Harcourt: the University of Science and Technology (UST) and Ignatius Ajuru University. These institutions have thousands of students. Do you honestly think these students don't want cookies? Why do you think I chose that location in the first place? The idea was simple: students from both universities would make up a significant part of my customer base.
Interestingly, since this whole support campaign started, a good number of the people who have shown up to support me are students from these same universities. They have always been my target audience. But the problem is that the economy has destroyed their purchasing power. These students, who ordinarily would patronise my business, are now more concerned about paying school fees, feeding themselves, and meeting their basic needs.
And somehow, I'm being told not to talk about politics?
You're telling me to focus on my business, post my products, and leave politics alone. But why can't I do both? Why can't I promote my business and also speak about the political leadership and candidate I believe can bring about the change we desperately need? Why shouldn't I advocate for someone I believe can help change the circumstances that have made running a small business this difficult?
I was fortunate that my situation gained attention and people rallied around me. But what happens the next time? Will I have to depend on a viral post before I can make meaningful sales? Is that how a business should survive? Absolutely not.
I appreciate every single person who has supported me, advised me, encouraged me, and shown me love. I will take the business advice, learn from my mistakes, and make better decisions going forward.
But please, don't tell me to stop talking about politics. The economy is affecting my business. Government policies are affecting my customers. The political decisions being made in this country have direct consequences on my livelihood.
I cannot separate my business struggles from the politics and economic realities that contribute to them. I have every right to speak about both.
PLEASE VOTE PETER OBI!!! ✌️
get him for me
GOOD DAY, MR PRESIDENT: NIGERIANS DESERVE ACCOUNTABILITY
Good day, Mr President.
I congratulate you on spending a night in one of Nigeria’s states outside Lagos and Abuja. I hope you enjoyed the warmth, hospitality, and delicious cuisine of Akwa Ibom, which I am sure is even better than those of the destinations where you have spent over 260 days outside Nigeria since coming into office.
I sincerely hope this visit will inspire you to travel to the remaining 33 states of the federation, spend time with the people and, more importantly, explain what your administration has done with the ₦15.8 trillion saved from the removal of fuel subsidy, the over $100 billion you have borrowed, the increased revenues accruing to the government from taxing Nigerians, and the additional government revenues which your administration celebrated last year as having surpassed its target.
Nigerians deserve to know how many that were pulled out of poverty within this period, how many out-of-school children were returned to school, and how many functional primary healthcare centres you have built. They also deserve to know how much electricity supply has improved, especially given your promise that if you do not fix power, Nigerians should not vote for you. They deserve an explanation of how you have secured the country, which still ranks among the most terrorised countries in the world.
Mr President, Nigerians deserve answers. They deserve to know what has been done with the resources entrusted to your government.
The New Nigeria we want to build will be based on accountability, transparency, and the physical, measurable impact of our public resources on the lives of citizens.
A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO
