That video is pretty much me when I'm looking at the lighting and cinematography. Movies used to actually look good. They didn't have cinematographers who were like "but what if we made the scene lit like real life so you can't see shit?"
Shepard sees the vision and tries to stop Saren but the signal is sent and only Shep, his crew, and a select few characters believe him. Then in 2 when Shep meets the Illusive Man it's a huge boon, but with the catch that Cerberus is shady and wanted for crimes.
That's why I think it was dumb for Sovereign to actually be there. It should've been like Saren saw the vision and went insane and tried to hasten their arrival by searching other prothean artifacts until he learns he can use the citadel to send a signal.
The "storylines" clearly weren't ready for primetime with how often they broke for guests. Which is a huge problem when roleplaying the story is the main reason you pay that ridiculous price to begin with. So yeah, I would've fixed that first.
