It is an honour to be elected as County Councillor for Bromsgrove East and I'm keen to get stuck in to continue to improve our area and be a strong voice for us on the Council.
Thank you all for the support, and thank you to Kit Taylor for his service as our previous Councillor.

A Liberal Democrat motion calling for a better deal for farmers has been unanimously backed by Bromsgrove District Councillors.

Despite the weather, we enjoyed speaking to residents on the doorstep today to hear the local issues that matter most!
Thank you to everyone who spoke with us to discuss how we can make Bromsgrove an even better place to live.

Standing up for Bromsgrove's Farmers!
My motion to demand a better deal for our farmers after a failed rollout of the Sustainable Farming Incentive has received the backing of Labour, Conservative and Independent Councillors in Bromsgrove.

I'm greateful to have attended today's civic service to raise money to support the work of Touchstones - an incredible local charity supporting young people facing bereavement.
Thank you to St. Johns Church and the Chairman of BDC for a wonderful service.
Unanimous support for farming motion!
Tonight, there was unanimous cross party support across for @BromsLibDems motion to lobby Government for a better deal for Bromsgrove's farmers after being let down by a botched Brexit, IHT changes and poorly implemented SFI scheme

This report is absolutely chilling and terrifying for those of us of colour in this country.
That's why I will keep fighting every single day for tolerance, decency and valuing the dignity of every human.
We need to keep these despicable individuals and their party out of power – at Richmond, London

Great news for residents across Bromsgrove, we are grateful the Government has listened to years of campaigning from Lib Dem MP Tom Gordon
🚨 HUGE win for the disabled community.
Near 2 years of campaigning - a petition, grilling ministers, debates, forcing my amendment to a vote, meeting the Bus Minister - time restrictions on disabled bus passes are being scrapped.
Disabilities don’t start at 9am. Neither should bus passes. And soon they won’t - at last.
A North Worcestershire Council presents us with an opportunity to take back control over areas such as highways.
For too long we have seen poor decisions imposed on Bromsgrove, such as BREP, by councillors in the south of the county.

BREP is our very own HS2. I am calling on the main scrutiny board of Worcestershire County Council to investigate the delays following the announcement that the deadline of end of 2026 will not be met.

At the County Council we are working to make savings to ensure that residents don't face a huge 9% council tax hike like the one we received previously under Reform.

Building on the golf centre will result in us not only losing this key leisure facility whilst hiking our demand for leisure services, but will also add even further traffic chaos to the A38 which will not be adequately addressed by the ongoing BREP works

The Conservatives trashed our Armed Forces, now Kemi Badenoch is opposing the only serious proposal to give them the urgent investment they need.

Disappointing not to hear anything from the new PM on social care, on Europe, or on protecting our precious natural environment. I hope that will come very soon – Britain can't wait much longer.

John Healey has seen up close the need to rebuild our Armed Forces after years of Conservative cuts and Starmer dithering.
Now as chancellor, he should take up Liberal Democrat plans for Defence Bonds to invest £20 billion in our sovereign capability.
John Healey - the first senior figure to walk through the doors of Burnham’s Number 10 - recently met with Andy Burnham to discuss using defence bonds to pay for increased defence spending which he argued could be used to re-industrialise Britain. He’s an ex Treasury minister under Gordon Brown. Join the dots & he could be Chancellor. Pure guesswork which could be proved wrong very quickly but very interesting that he’s first through that door
With the news of a new North Worcestershire Council to be set up, and Bromsgrove District Council set to be abolished, Bromsgrove's Lib Dems are campaigning for unparished areas of Bromsgrove to not be overlooked by the new authority.
