The @rootsh installer has been re-built to include dependencies. Simpler install with one-click route to get everything needed to run the app on your PC in minutes. The only current mandatory dependency is @ollama. Plugins may required dependencies such as MSOLAP or @github CLI to perform - they are installed with the plugin. 🟢 Live on useroot.sh

⚙️ Guardrails are the biggest thing turning people to local AI. Running those local models will less guardrails just became easier with root. Instead of model shopping for the best alternative, the team has vetted a few open source abliterated models that are quantified to perform on even your local laptop. At the moment, there are two options - Mistral Heretic for low-performance machines, and a glm 4.7 for high-performance machines. During responses, you can accurately see the system resource usage by the model. From Settings, you can with one toggle pull the model which will then have root install it and configure the local @ollama installation to work with it. 👉 This update is served automatically to the latest build, available from useroot.sh/downloads.

v.0.0.8 is now available to download for Windows for completely free on useroot.sh. We have made it to the schedule with the 0.0.8 version, which includes all the latest features and additions showcased over the past two weeks. Make sure to follow the installation guide and set it up. After that, you should be able to use the local harness to do any tasks with frontier-capable AI through Ollama. We recommend the $20 Ollama plan for accessing glm-5.2. The @rootsh harness currently supports glm-5.2, minimax-m3 and gemma 4-31b. There will be a ton of bugs and things to patch up. The fixes will be fed every 6 hours to the Automatic Update Service within the app. Versions v0.0.7 for MacOS is in final stages of stress testing. Thank you for testing & be sure to give us all the feedback!
We do not simply tell you to cancel your dependencies on @claudeai, @cursor_ai & other platforms. We help you migrate from them to a private, encrypted, same-or-better performance solution. @rootsh will now scour your entire computer for your established .agents files and it can also import the repositories from those within root. You can essentially continue your work without any pause in-between while you switch to something that keeps things actually between you and your work and costs you $0 to run. This and more, soon on the FREE Public Beta Access of useroot.sh by $PALM 🌴

Update: Like every decent open-source privacy application, root will have a decentralized discussion forum where all the information is stored forever (uses blockchain based storage). It will also include Plugins and it is where all data concerning a plugin goes and where they are uploaded. For now only Devs can post threads and reply, but users will be able to as well according to their $PALM tier. You can find detailed instructions and changelogs on the board. For users: the Account only shows your holding tier, the profile photo and a display name. Your wallet address is never public. 👉 useroot.sh/forums
GM $PALM 🌴 Today is about getting things live. @rootsh User Accounts are now $PALM Accounts — your unified identity across the ecosystem. Create yours in just one click by connecting your wallet. Everything else is generated automatically. Simple, seamless, and built for what comes next. Which is on the way.

You no longer need to rely on cloud AI services for blockchain research. As one of the final features pushed before first @rootsh Release Version, we have included a crypto-centric Research Mode that utilizes public on-chain data through pre-defined MCP loops and can track years worth of transactions within minutes. The Crypto Research Mode is toggled when the reasoning process calls any of the crypto-related MCP. As always, all of these calls are customizable and trackable in the Settings and Configuration menu. See how it does on fetching information on the $PALM AI Deployer.

To highlight an important Quality of Life update: the way you bootstrap a repository in @rootsh now offers a ton of options and a tailored experience. It is possible with 1-click to clone a repository directly from @github, use SSL or WSL connections to copy directories and to connect your cloud accounts, like @Azure and @gitlab.

One of the best features we have implemented is the ability to actually keep track of what you are and were doing. This is why we have now incorporated the Daily Tasks and calibration directly to the home section of @rootsh. In addition, the Companion AI will summarize where you left off so you can continue your work and keep your focus whenever you choose. You can still use the Notes tab for detailed planning and to extract or insert task data. Coming to useroot.sh by $PALM. Theme used: Nordic Futuristic.
Ahead of the @rootsh Public Release, we want to demonstrate clearly where /root fits within the current AI landscape. Harnesses are software layers that connect AI models to tools, files, memory, workflows, and interfaces so they can perform useful work in the style of @claudeai, @Cursor and @ChatGPTapp. Simple work and chat tools like the web versions of the forementioned ones or @ollama provide an open runtime, and they can be either local or hosted, @AskVenice as an example of the latter. Some local harnesses on the market, like Odyssey move close with the hosted ones to achieve the same result. /root is being built to combine all these capabilities into one complete environment and exceed them. It is a full-suite harness with encryption and true privacy. It brings frontier-level intelligence, agents that can edit files, run tools and ship work, a full creative and productivity suite, an integrated coding experience, complete telemetry control and an open model runtime you own. It is local and private by default, your codebase stays on your machine, and it can operate without ongoing token costs. The goal is not to become another isolated AI tool, rather it is to deliver the complete private AI harness for coding, creativity, productivity and everything in between. Privacy is a right, and so is proper access to performant AI without a dependency expense. The Public Release is getting closer. $PALM is working.

How to Get Started on useroot.sh in less than a Minute This video takes you through the flow from the 5-second installation to building from a template to the first visual win (implementation) of a full-stack application. The reasoning happens in a matter of seconds due to pre-built template code being inserted as the base of your repository. The agent then follows up with simple questions for you to start modifying the app to your liking. More videos & updates on the way as the team works around the clock on $PALM 🛠🕥
When there is so much you can do, the bottleneck is knowing what actually to do. This is the biggest problem in vibe coding and sketching out apps. useroot.sh solves that. Create your next project with a high-quality stater template that contains pre-built code, best practices and stacks with senior level curation. Getting a decent site or a working full-stack app does not have to be a long process. The only thing required is that the AI knows what it is doing and about to do - and our @rootsh harness handles that for the user. A Public Beta release is impending, with FREE access for a whole month. Stay tuned for more $PALM🌴

We have now finalized $PALM Accounts on the root homepage, at useroot.sh/account. You can track your tasks by connecting your socials, submit inquiries to the developers as tickets (note: support is available 24/7 on Telegram!) and personalize your profile. Important: keep in mind that at a point in the near future, activity tracking will be mandatory to receive staking rewards without incurring penalties. Sleepers will still receive rewards, but active community members will get them even better. ⚙️ Want to keep your actual holding address private? No worries, we have a zero-knowledge solution coming up where you can simply indicate your holdings amount and the real address will never touch the app.
👤 $PALM Accounts are on the way. An account where you can manage everything $PALM related, get the news delivered straight to you and where your participation in raids and community contributions is measured in real time, with on-chain proof, statistics and importantly - Rewards. Who else likes the idea of having the Devs pay you for an unanswered query? Coming up on the new $PALM Account Tab.

AI without accessibility is objectively less valuable. There are a million ways to understand one matter. Only the right conclusion and take-away matters. @rootsh supports Skills files, including ones designed to unbury answers in junk and even toggles a few on by default. Full responses with extreme detail are delegated to produced report files in Markdown, so if you want, you can always come back for the full answer - and importantly, the AI remembers and uses it! Accompanied with Auto-Prompting that helps anyone to turn their mess into a perfect prompt. Try it 👉 useroot.sh

GM 🌴 Today is a good day to stake $PALM. We've incorporated a "staking bot" to our Telegram at t.me/paLMEthereum that keeps track of what's being staked, when and announces eligibility for rewards. An upcoming feature will even more firmly tie token rewards to activity. The $PALM Raid Army will be re-formed as an automated system through the bot with tasks and goals in exchange for rewards. Rewards, payouts and other expenses can be tracked transparently on palmaierc.com —> Panel. Stay tuned for more!
