This is probably the worst result of the night.
Newly elected Democratic congressman Adam Hamawy was a close associate of Omar Abdel Rahman - the “Blind Sheikh” sentenced to life in prison for his role inspiring the 1993 Wold Trade Center bombing.
Abdel-Rahman issued a fatwa in the US that declared it lawful to rob banks and kill Jews in the US. His sermons condemned Americans as the "descendants of apes and pigs'' and called on Muslims to assail the West, ''kill them on the sea, air, or land.''
Adam Hamawy travelled with the Blind Sheikh to a conference in Detroit in 1991 titled "Towards a Global Islamic Economy.” He ultimately testified in court for the Blind Sheikh to try defend him.
A secret FBI informant said that Hamawy discussed making bombs with the Blind Sheikh and "conquering the land of the infidels.”

“Islamists without the Islamism label" is a growing trend in American politics.
The majority of those who voted for Elsayed, Darializa, Mamdani, Kawas, Omar, and their like were not Muslims, but non-Muslim Americans who still cannot see beyond the labels.
(To put things into perspective, American Muslims represent barely 1% of the population and obviously not all of them can vote, and not all of them support Islamists).
The Islamists of today are not the long-bearded, short-gown, armed men. They are men and women who dress like you, studied in the same schools, and grew up in the same country as you. However, every step of the way, they are advancing Islamist objectives and goals, abusing the very democratic system that they oppose.
What a sad irony!
The electoral success of Islamist-aligned candidates in the United States is a reminder that we have to drop our obsession with labels.

Please meet Adam Hamawy, an Egyptian-born former military doctor who has just won as a Democrat for the US House (NJ-12).
Hamawy reportedly volunteered for a Chicago-based non-profit in Bosnia that was later determined to be a front for the Islamic terrorist group al-Qaeda.
He also accompanied, translated for, and testified as a defense witness for Omar Abdel-Rahman (the “Blind Sheikh”), who was convicted in connection with the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.
This is yet another Muslim that Democrats have elected to Congress tonight.
