Millions of Cubans marched today to defend their country & Trump was visibly rattled. His threats have failed. Deploying the Abraham Lincoln carrier won't change that. Cuba is not intimidated & if provoked by an unprovoked attack, they will fight to the end. Cuba can’t be taken!

Our paper on the impact of US sanctions on Cuba’s infant mortality rate is out. Our results are deeply troubling. The tightening of the US embargo after 2019 led to the infant mortality rate rising from 4 to 9.9/1000 in 2025. We estimate that an additional 1800 Cuban babies died from these harsher US sanctions.

The illegal US blockade of Cuba has been killing babies:
A new study found that Cuba's infant mortality rate has risen since 2018, as the US imposed hundreds of more sanctions to try to suffocate the country.
Another peer-reviewed study found that Western unilateral sanctions cause approximately 564,000 deaths every year on average, and children under age 5 account for 51% of these deaths.
Economic warfare is just as deadly as conventional military warfare, if not more so.

In de media kloppen partijvoorzitters zich op de borst dat de weerstand tegen de plannen van de regering niks uithaalt.
Maar heel de asociale kaalslag van Arizona staat op los zand. Van de Raad van State, tot de vakbonden en de oppositie: men kan deze regering doen inbinden.
De partij die constant anderstaligen afdreigt dat ze Nederlands moeten leren, op straffe van financiële sancties, raakt met haar besparingen net die groep het hardst.
Je zou bijna denken dat ze daar bij @de_NVA eigenlijk niets geven om mensen met een buitenlandse afkomst. 🤔
