Back when I was in school, my friends and I used to talk about Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. We would playfully figure out which level we were on and what we needed most at that point in our lives. The crazy thing is, looking back now, I realize how much those conversations actually shaped the way I think and approach life. Without even knowing it, I had started making decisions based on what I needed most at each stage, what could wait, and what had to come first. 👉 Growing up i was moved from one house to another , saw my Late Mum struggled to pay rent for our one room apartment In Lagos, my younger brother and I were struggling, at some point i had to work as an house boy i was barely 12 years, FZ had to go learn Plumbing. One day, I swore to myself that when i grow up, housing will never be a problem. So in my first 4 years of trading👇 ➡️ One house for my family in my hometown ➡️ I built one my grandma (that woman doesn't like the city) ➡️One hometown house for me and my brothers ➡️ Got my first duplex ( there is a lot more now ) Well I went into the Real estate business fully, a lot of houses now, excluding the student hostel buildings , apartment buildings that brings good ROI but who is still counting...... CARS? I only started looking into cars recently. I’ve never really been a car guy. So when you see me spending money on depreciating assets, don’t pressure yourself to do the same. But if you feel that pressure, use it as motivation to work harder and get yourself to that level too. There’s a process to these things. Keep your head down, stay focused, and put in the work. The goal is to get to a point where you can comfortably afford the things you want without putting yourself in a difficult position financially.
