Today, I am honoured to announce that I have accepted the role of President of the Ottawa REDBLACKS. It is a return to the game and the league that began my journey and I couldn’t be more excited!
R-Nation, let’s go. 🔴⚫ We got some work to do and it starts now.....🔥🔥
The Ottawa REDBLACKS have named Mike Morreale as club president.
“This is about more than building a team that can win. It’s about building an organization that can compete for championships and give people in Ottawa a reason to feel connected to and proud of the REDBLACKS.”
Morreale brings a unique combination of football credibility and executive leadership experience. He played 12 seasons in the CFL with the Toronto Argonauts and Hamilton Tiger-Cats, earning multiple CFL awards and winning two Grey Cups.
The @CFL is built on the shoulders of fans like her!!! Thank you for your support of the league over the years!! I can only hope you are able to make a few more games as the league is at its best with fans like you! Thank you for all your support!!
Nana is 95 and she says this is her last game live in the stands. She has been a @sskroughriders season ticket holder forever. If you see her (WC Section 138 right on concourse), come say hi to her and wish her well. Thanks for all the fun memories, Nana!! 💚🤍 #RiderPride
Thank you @rickzamperin You did an incredible job!!!

Nashville naming its airport after Dolly Parton is well deserved. But I’ll say what I said often on Sportstalk & wrote in my memoir: For the life of me, I cannot understand why YVR isn’t named Terry Fox International. If ever a global BC hero deserved that honour, it’s Terry. 🇨🇦
Nashville International Airport will be renamed after the late Dolly Parton after its board unanimously voted to change the name. cbsn.ws/4xSVYNR

You told us to cancel for Aug. 6. Now you say you are running. Is our flight going to depart on the same day and at the same time? We had to make other arrangements with Air Canada and need to know if we can cancel them for sure now.

This week's Alumnus of Distinction is Val St. Germain 🙌
St. Germain spent five seasons with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (1994–1998), becoming a key piece of the offensive line. Selected first overall by Hamilton in the 1994 CFL Draft, the McGill product developed into one of the CFL’s top Canadian linemen. He was named an East Division All-Star in 1998 and helped lead the Ticats to a Grey Cup appearance that season.
