Twice the Blood Angels have been given the task of guiding the Imperium.
The Avenging Son granted the title of Regent to Dante as the title of Emperor to his brother Sanguinius. But he wasn't the only one who held the Great Angel in high esteem :

This VOC ship was built with Peter the Great's active, hands-on participation.
In 1698, the Tsar even received an apprenticeship certificate from Dutch master shipbuilder Gerrit Claesz Pool. It states that "Peter Michaeloff" had worked at the VOC shipyard for about four and a half months. He was described as a hardworking and competent carpenter while helping build the Pieter en Paul, a frigate over 100 feet long.

A very interesting historic fact is that the Dutch were crucial in shaping modern Russian navy, as Russians basically learned the know-how from the Dutch in late 17th century.
Peter the Great personally went to Netherlands to work with Dutch shipbuilders.
Russia had almost no professional navy or shipbuilding tradition beforehand. Because of this the famous Tsar Peter the Great recruited large numbers of Dutch shipwrights, carpenters, sailors, and officers, ordered ships from Dutch yards. The Russians also imported Dutch practical methods and terminology, to the point where many Dutch nautical terms are still in use in Russian today.
But regarding the photo posted by Liz, it's funny that Peter the Great actually hated ceremonies like this and preferred to work with Dutch shipbuilders as one of the regular carpenters, so that he would learn from them, even traveling incognito and introducing himself simply as Peter Mikhailov.
Peter the Great was exceptionally tall (over 2 meters or roughly 6'7"-6'8"), so him pretending he was someone else was more to have an excuse to skip ceremonies rather than to actually try to fool people.

The Crimson Paladins, also known as the Keruvim or the Storm Winds, were the Terminator elite of the Blood Angels. They served as the guardians of the primarch's halls and sanctums. They were superbly disciplined, acting as a single unbreakable bastion of blades and shields. 🩸🪽

The Angel's Tears were members of the First Sphere of the Blood Angels Legion and specialists of weapons of mass destruction. Each warrior called “Erelim” served as Sanguinius's wrath set forth by his will to scour away those he decreed unworthy of being saved.

Even within a Legion known for its jump infantry and assault tactics, the Dawnbreaker Cohorts stood apart. These Space Marines emphasized not only martial excellence, but also the symbolic nature of their role, bringing light and justice to even the most hellish warzones. 🩸🪽

“The brothers duelled in the stone street, their boots kicking up clouds of alkaline dust. Gone was any notion of humanity or mercy from either warrior – here, at last, were two men that despised one another, fighting to end each other’s lives.”

Thank you muchly, I've been in the hobby for about 30 years & have been painting Blood Angels this way for about 25 of them.
I'm impressed with your work & am curious as to what colours you use to achieve that shade of red.

First red layer has been overbrushed on, this layer is Khorne Red, next up: Mephiston Red.
It's a little more difficult than usual, since I'm having some temporary issues with my eyes, hopefully this gets better soon.
