The Speaker of the House doesn't have to be likable to be good. Being consensually unlikable is a big part of what made Nancy Pelosi so immensely respectable and POWERFUL at the job. It's a job about WINNING. It can look and sound however it needs to. They can be Malcolm Tucker for all I care if they get results. It might even help. And it doesn't really matter because 90% of what they do is directed at other Representatives behind closed doors, not us. Just put the bills in the bag.
But for what it's worth, Hakeem Jeffries has been extraordinarily kind, and patient, and tolerant of the most uncivilized degenerate bullshit from republicans and the wannabe "left" who are LUCKY he doesn't treat them how they actually deserve.
