When I am the first governor from the Rio Grande Valley, I will secure the American Dream by saving Texas schools and putting money in your pocket.

It’s been a while since I’ve been inspired or excited about electing a politician. @GinaHinojosaTX is a breath of fresh air and legitimately makes me excited about what Texas can be.
Texas, get out and VOTE!

This is our city. This is our moment. And it’s going to take all of us.
Vote by November 3. #YesWeChan

See this is how Westerners think about China and Asians in general, they expect you to quietly take their insults.
The way they cry about "ruthlessness", you'd think China blew up a school in their country when it's just stopping some sponsorship deals

BREAKING: Labor leader, feminist and civil rights icon Dolores Huerta has died at 96. apnews.com/article/dolores-h…

Dolores Huerta was a pioneering labor leader and legendary civil rights activist. Amidst the struggle of the movement, her rallying cry, "Sí se puede," was a call to stay in the fight.
The work of Dolores Huerta and the United Farm Workers was a driving force for change across California and our country. Her brilliant organizing and fierce negotiating came to the national spotlight during the Delano Grape strike, and countless people benefited from her decades-long career. Thanks to her, immigrants and workers won better wages, working conditions, environmental protections, and voting rights.
I was blessed to know Dolores for many years and proud to organize alongside my dear friend to champion working families and immigrant rights. I will always be grateful for her support and friendship. We will honor her legacy by continuing the fight for the dignity of every person.
Doug and I send our love and prayers to the four generations of loving family she leaves behind, the community she built, and to the millions of people who have been touched by her work.

Dolores Huerta was a hero of mine.
When she co-founded the National Farm Workers Association in 1962, people thought Dolores was crazy. “How are you going to organize farm workers,” she remembered being asked. "They are poor, powerless immigrants.” But that’s exactly what she did, helping thousands of migrant laborers working in brutal conditions make their voices heard, and demand something better.
Dolores spent the rest of her life fighting for marginalized communities, even as she herself faced sexism and abuse — including, as she revealed earlier this year, from Cesar Chavez and others within her own movement. She also came up with a pretty good slogan, “Si, se puede” — Yes, we can — that I too often get credit for. But as usual, Dolores got there first.
Michelle and I are thinking of Dolores’s family, the people whose lives she changed, and everyone who drew inspiration from her example.

I grew up in a world Dolores Huerta helped make. Every time a worker in this city organizes for a fair wage, every time a tenant, delivery worker, or a nanny stands up and demands better, they join a tradition she forged.
She led without asking permission. She organized farmworkers when the country looked away, took the grape boycott to every corner of America, and won protections that changed millions of lives. Her work started in California’s fields, but it was never only for California. Families in New York, in Texas, and in the Midwest followed in her footsteps and learned from her example, without ever meeting her.
Her bravery and fight for justice continued until the very end of her life, when she came forward to share the truth about what she had survived -- even though silence would have been easier.
She taught us that sí se puede and lived it every day.
New York mourns Dolores Huerta. Let us honor her by continuing the work.

More votes were cast during early voting in Louisiana than in any midterm election in the state's history. “This is going to be a more competitive Senate race than people think,” pollster John Couvillon @WinWithJMC tells @blakepater perdidostreet.news/p/louisia…

As much as I think the Chinese reaction to Mbappé’s statement was ridiculous, people need to chill out.
Western freedom of speech, such as it is (the Chinese are not entirely wrong to call out our hypocrisy on the issue), isn’t going to disappear because from time to time a Western celebrity or company decides to go out of their way not to offend the delicate sensibilities of China on a handful of topics.
Once again, insofar as freedom of speech is threatened in the West, the main threats are domestic and it’s not even close.

It's funny when Americans tell me they have better access to information about China outside of China because they get info from NYT
Well, I've known many NYT reporters focused on China for last 30 yrs. Many barely have a 1st grade level of Chinese & also have a narrative to perpetuate
So idiots following the blind. If you get your info on China from US media and believe it, then you're the one brainwashed
Funny how a couple of Chinese companies withdrawing their endorsement is an example of China's ruthlessness but the US bombing Iranian school children and then preventing their National team from staying in the US during the World Cup isn't.

It is possible that the polls are wrong this cycle, and are generally overestimating Dem support. That's possible. But it's clear that the GOP internal polls look a lot like the public polls, because Trump was in MS this past Monday and will be rallying folks in LA next Monday.
I understand the skepticism and hewing toward toward fundamental partisanship is hardly an unjustifiable instinct, but if there’s one thing I’ve learned about elections it’s that there’s no hard rules about what can or cannot happen and no such thing as a floor or a ceiling
Replying to @RyanJakubowski
As in 2016, it's all correlated. Graham isn't tied or losing; she'll win by 6 at worst. Ossoff and Cooper are up, but nowhere near mid-teens. Across the board, pollsters are finding wayyyy too many solidly Republican white voters switching their votes. That's what's driving this.
Don't know why White people feel compelled to talk about other people's history all the time.
Imagine 1 billion Chinese would constantly, completely unprovoked, spam:
"George Washington the slavelord is so overrated. Only won thanks to the French and the fact the British had to sail their reinforcements through half the world.
American founding fathers are all a bunch of bumfucks who had a huge geographical advantage.
And literally still needed to get saved by the gay French.
America then lost more wars than they won despite printing all this money and only fighting countries five divisions their weight class.
Americans can't even win at Basketball anymore.
The dream team is dead.
Even your skinny women disgust me.
Halle Berry? Disgusting."
Don't you see how stupid and annoying it is?
Why can't y'all stop acting like spergs??
