Our councillor and chair of planning committee Martin Seaton refused to take our petition objecting to building on our garden. We don't want the new building. @lb_southwark @cllrmseaton 08-07-2021 @CourtCampaign – at London, England

Ahead of what will clearly be a coordinated assault on Zack Polanski - some basic facts.
1 - Yes, Polanski's own net approval ratings have dipped sharply in recent months. This is primarily the result of more people becoming aware of him and forming an opinion. His actual approval ratings have been remarkably steady and, at 19%, he remains considerably more popular than his party.
2 - By comparison Adrian Ramsay's approval rating when he was co-leader in June 2025 was 5%. 81% had either never heard of them or had never bothered to form an opinion. His fellow co-leader Carla Denyer was only marginally better on 9%.
3 - Reportedly 18,000 members have left in recent months. But this is in the context of an unprecedented surge in membership which took the party from 70k to close to quarter of a million members after Polanski became leader.
4 - The party now has more than 1300 local councillors, compared to less than 900 when Polanski became leader.
5 - Yes, the Greens have dipped in the polls recently. But even now they are at the same level they were when he became leader. And they are primarily victims of their own success having obliged the Labour Party to ditch Starmer - a level of influence the Greens could previously only dream of.
6 - The Zionism is racism motion is held up as having done huge damage to the party. An Opinium poll showed 56% of Green Party members supported it - and just 13% opposed it. A clear majority among all voters under 34 who expressed an opinion supported it.
By any logical criteria, if your aim is for the Greens to become Britain's first genuinely radical, mass political party, capable of holding the balance of power in parliament, it makes no sense whatsoever to get rid of Polanski.
It makes sense only if that is precisely what you don't want to happen.

Great news everyone!!
We've got immigration down to basically nothing, just like you wanted. Now the NHS only needs 55,000 nurses. Over to you, Britain. No more relying on immigrants to do it!!
the jobs are RIGHT THERE. Go on then. We'll wait. 🇬🇧
Waiting.....

You just couldn't make it up! Less than 1cm of rain was all it took for Anglian Water to dump sewage into our rivers again! This is a dereliction of duty.
Anglian Water and the government must act now, before heavier winter rains fill our rivers with sewage.

Why is it I wonder that water companies are furiously resisting having to measure exactly how much sh*t they dump into our rivers and why are govt, Ofwat and the EA letting them away with it?
A little rain and water companies pour sewage into our rivers!
We need to measure the volume of sewage not just the hours.
This is horrific.

Thames Water is putting on a big PR effort right now to convince the public that it is very difficult to bring Thames Water into public ownership
We've prepared a briefing for MPs to explain EXACTLY how Thames can be taken into public ownership
Send it to your MP now: vist.ly/5fthc

Today, a new hosepipe ban came into force - yet nearly 3 billion litres of water is lost a day from leaky pipes belonging to privatised water companies. That's 5x more water than a nationwide hosepipe ban would save. We need to bring water back into public hands now.

"Or Nigel Farage who has been a member of the British Parliament, a member of the European Parliament, a central figure of British politics for over 20 years, and is a member of the East India Gentleman's Club which to this day I understand do not admit women"
Mehdi Hasan, "What do you make of Nigel Farage?"
Count Binface, "He was the MP for Clacton till recently"
"He was the architect of Brexit"
"I've been trying to analyse the pros and cons of Brexit in the ten years since that referendum occurerd"
"First I analysed the cons of Brexit. That took me quite a long time and I'm still doing that"
"And then I decided to have a look at the pros...."
Mehdi Hasan, "None?"
Count Binface, "None that I can see"
Worth watching this just to see @mehdirhasan smile and try not to break into laughter (he's usually super serious!) - And of course if you like this, check out @zeteouk for more 👍

Andy Burnham has still not lifted Yvette Cooper's proscription which sees thousands of good people arrested as terrorists just for holding placards.
Please RT this & don't vote for a Labour Party which introduced & supports it.
Green Party Peer Jenny Jones joined our protest with an appeal to Andy Burnham: help save lives, cancel the dreadful pharma trade deal with the US.
The deal will raise drug prices by 25%, divert £45bn from essential services, and could cause 229,000 avoidable deaths. @GreenJennyJones

🚨BREAKING: Filton 4 sentenced as terrorists
Amnesty opposes the use of terrorism powers in this case.
It is completely disproportionate to punish protesters for criminal damage as if they were terrorists, a sentence which stays with you for life.
The defendants in today’s case were sentenced as terrorists because prosecutors want to make an example of them.
Today's decision shows how direct action protesters could be treated in the future.
The use of terrorism laws against direct action protesters must end.
Together we must continue calling out the abuse of power and fighting for our right to protest.

Don't believe everything you read on right-wing medias, in papers and more. The shirt Hannah Spencer wore at PMQ's is a 15 year old charity shop find, not a £2,000 Gucci purchase like many would want you to believe! 🤥
Why would people spread misinformation about Hannah? Hmm?
