I met Violet Rollergirl (@rollergirlVi) tonight at Zcon.
She's the ONLY person in Zcash, and in fact all of crypto, who took the time to check my safety number on Signal.
I've got DM threads with people at Valar, Winklevoss Cap, Shielded Labs, and Zodl. None of them checked my safety number.
So I have hard evidence that Violet has practical experience in freedom tech that some of the rest of us lack.
If you care about Zcash and its success in the real world, not the world of theory, this is someone to learn from.

Truth. Some people can't discern the difference between a chain partnering with a specific platform v a chain promoting to a demographic with perfect PMF
Also they don't know SWs have been in zcash so long that the ones crying about optics & tardfi positioning at the local top are the exit liquidity who have been buying our bags but thats a different conversation 🤑

ZCG didn't promote sex work. They promoted Zcash to people who need it.

@Grayscale just published a note saying Zcash has continued evolving for 10 years because it builds R&D funding directly into the protocol.
Miners take 80% of block rewards while 20% goes to a Dev Fund.
Most chains rely on venture capital. Zcash is one of the few that doesn’t, using that capital for privacy pool upgrades including the new Ironwood pool with quantum-recoverable addresses.
That ongoing support is a key reason zcash:native has kept shipping through multiple market cycles.
Max Desalle's 1 year anniversary in the Zcash Community is this month.
If he was on the Zcash Community Advisory Panel, he would be it's least experienced member.
