It's really easy to forget context in the modern era where we've seen so much. I'd compare it to a pole vault record that gets beat every few months so the bar keeps getting raised. The late 80s early 90s X/NC-17S are very tame compared to now

We are sad to learn that actor Tom Skerritt has passed away at 93.
The Emmy-winning actor made his mark on the horror genre as Dallas in the original ALIEN back in 1979, and he also starred in The Dead Zone, Poltergeist III, and 2008's Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
