Last night an email landed in my inbox from [email protected].
That is the real address of Foundation, the company behind the Passport Bitcoin hardware wallet.
Subject: "Your Passport funds are at risk."
It had my name. My phone number. An old address of mine. It passed every security check my inbox runs.
It was phishing: a fake message built to trick you into handing over something valuable.
And here is the twist. Someone in our community got the exact same email, and has never owned a Foundation device.
Everyone in the comments is blaming Foundation for leaking its customer list. The real story is probably bigger than that. 🧵
