🇴🇲 Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi called for a non-aggression pact among the six Gulf Arab states, alongside Iran and Iraq, that would end the US role as the region’s primary security provider, speaking at Cambridge University on Monday. Gulf security has “relied for too long on the involvement of external powers,” Albusaidi told an audience of over 100 diplomats and foreign policy specialists, making issues like the Strait of Hormuz “impossible to resolve.” He said “perhaps the most damaging” priority imposed on the region from outside was the exclusion of Iran for nearly 50 years: “Not just excluded. Worse. Positioned as the threat against which regional security had to be organized.” In what The Guardian described as an indirect challenge to President Trump’s case for renewed strikes on Iran, amid reports that the US and Israel are considering another round of attacks, Albusaidi reiterated that the US-Iran talks Oman mediated in February were “making significant progress” and that “an agreement was within reach” when the war was launched. “We still stand by that judgement today,” he said. The speech came the same day Saudi, Pakistani and Turkish officials met Iranian leaders in Tehran.

🚨 UN commission finds Israel continuing genocide in Gaza despite ceasefire, committing crimes against humanity of extermination in the West Bank Israel continues to commit genocidal acts in Gaza with the intent to destroy Palestinians "in whole or in part," even after the "so-called" October 2025 ceasefire, according to the fifth report of the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry to the General Assembly. Main findings:
▪️ At least 1,431 Palestinians killed in Gaza since the ceasefire, as Israel's expanding territorial control endangers those approaching the Yellow Line
▪️ Israeli military operations and settler violence in the West Bank form a widespread, systematic attack on civilians, carried out as state policy and amounting to extermination, torture and rape
▪️ Lethal force rules apply only to Palestinians, amounting to persecution based on nationality, race and ethnicity
▪️ Operations since January 2025 caused the largest West Bank displacement since 1967, with 34,176 still displaced as of August
▪️ Palestinian children deliberately killed and injured, constituting age-based persecution
▪️ Rape and sexual violence used as a tactic of war, including against Global Sumud Flotilla participants
▪️ An Israeli soldier deliberately killed Turkish-American activist Ayşenur Eygi Over 75,000 Palestinians have been killed across the occupied territory since October 2023, including at least 21,500 children. The commission links the killings to a decades-long policy of seizing "maximum land" with "minimum population."

When Israel went to war against Iran in the past, its generals and spies were behind Netanyahu. He no longer has that level of support: "Israel's intelligence community does not accept that the Iranians have restarted their nuclear programme, nor that there is any imminent threat that currently justifies going to war." economist.com/middle-east-an…

What exactly would Trump hope to achieve with another big attack on Iran? Netanyahu’s theory of victory failed spectacularly: no regime collapse, no defections, no uprising or meaningful domestic instability. Instead, it was US regional bases & critical regional infrastructure that got destroyed. And Washington burned through vast amounts of very expensive and hard to produce munitions. Make no mistake, nothing the US can throw at Iran now could compare to what it had in February. Not least because of all the equipment and bases and supply lines it has lost since then. Unless I guess for Trump it really is fool me once, fool me endlessly.

Important historic reality that renders Trump's demand for Iran to ship out its 60% HEU upfront a non-starter without equivalent IRREVERSIBLE US concessions. In the JCPOA, Iran shipped out 98% of its LEU to Russia. But even after Trump withdrew from the JCPOA and the agreement effectively collapsed, the LEU remained in Russia. Iran never got it back. The HEU Iran possesses now is the result of new uranium that Iran has enriched since the US exit from the JCPOA. Trump is demanding this irreversible concession from Iran in return for easily reversible steps by the US, such as lifting the blockade. This is not a serious diplomatic offer.

Women and girls continue to be killed in the U.S.-Israeli genocide in Gaza. On Thursday, Israeli forces shot 17-year-old Rafif Raed Labad in the head, killing her in Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, according to Palestinian media. On October 10, Palestinian child Fatima Ahmed Shawqi al-Rayyes (pictured) died after spending 60 days in intensive care following an Israeli bombardment. Two of her young relatives, Suwar and Celina, were also killed. Among the countless victims is Mayar (pictured), a 19-year-old Palestinian physiotherapist killed in October 2023 after an Israeli bombing that also claimed the life of her mother, Nisreen.
🇸🇩 🇦🇪 Hillary Clinton and UAE Minister of State Noura Al Kaabi took the stage together at a Forbes women's leadership summit in New York last week, in a conversation moderated by Clinton's longtime aide Huma Abedin. The event celebrated Emirati women's leadership as the UAE-backed Rapid Support Forces (RSF) wage a campaign of mass rape and genocide in Sudan. The Forbes 30/50 Summit is chaired by MS NOW host Mika Brzezinski, with Experience Abu Dhabi, the emirate's state tourism arm, as host partner. Sudan did not come up at all in the half hour long conversation. Instead, Al Kaabi described the UAE as a victim of "a war that we didn't choose," referring to the US-Israeli war on Iran, then said life at home is "wonderful," adding, "We're back to business” as she promoted December's opening of the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi. She also warned that "extremism starts with hate speeches... with people starting to separate colors, religions, backgrounds." The UAE’s RSF militia has targeted non-Arab communities in Darfur by ethnicity in mass ethnic cleansing massacres. Clinton praised the UAE for holding its society together, and Brzezinski closed by calling the pair "two of the most accomplished women in the world." Monday marks one year since the RSF overran El Fasher in North Darfur, slaughtering civilians in the streets, in hospitals and as they fled. The UN documented at least 6,000 killed in the first three days and found "hallmarks of genocide." Academics put the toll at more than 60,000 in three weeks, and leading researchers estimate as many as 150,000 residents killed and unaccounted for. UN investigators found RSF commanders ordered rape and killings, and UN experts have extensively documented the UAE of arming and funding the RSF. Clinton said the U.S. must stop "putting our personal financial interests first" and pick leaders "with integrity." Days after the summit, the UAE nominated its envoy to the UN, Lana Nusseibeh, for UN Secretary-General.

🔴 Gaza’s Education Ministry said Sunday that Israeli forces have killed three schoolchildren in less than 24 hours. Tamer Shadi Subh was shot dead in northern Gaza’s Beit Lahia while in his tent. With no ambulance or vehicle available, his brother had to carry his body on his shoulders to the hospital.
With no ambulance and no car to carry him, his brother lifted him onto his shoulders and walked. Tamer Shadi Subh, a schoolboy, was shot dead by the Israeli occupation army on Sunday in the Tal Al-Dhahab area of Beit Lahia, in northern Gaza. Three years of genocide have left families without even a way to bring their dead to the hospital. Gaza’s Ministry of Education mourned Tamer as the third schoolchild killed by the Israeli occupation in less than 24 hours, after Mohammed Riyad Abu Hammad and little Misk Hazem Al-Dalu, who was shot when Israeli forces opened fire on displaced families’ tents in Al-Maghazi camp. The ministry warned that the road to school in Gaza has become a road to death, and called on the UN and UNICEF to act to protect Gaza’s students. Five Palestinians were killed across Gaza on Sunday, two of them children, and the death toll since the ceasefire has now passed 1,511. SOURCE: bilal.f0ad - mokhy3m

🚨 “He was blown to pieces right before my eyes. His schoolbag was still on his shoulder.” Israeli forces killed 14-year-old Palestinian student Mohammed Abu Hammad in a drone strike on Al-Baraka Street, south of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza shortly after he returned from school. Mohammed had stopped at his father's shop to look after it while his father ran an errand. “He hadn't even been sitting in the chair for five minutes,” Ahmed Muhareb told Drop Site's Mohamed Ahmed. “They fired a missile at the boy, while his schoolbag was still on his back.” At the hospital, people held up Mohammed's bloodstained schoolbag and notebooks, pointing to the shrapnel that had pierced them. His father wept over his son's body. “I swear, I was just talking to him,” he cried. “Mohammed was the one I depended on.” “This is a child. What did he do wrong?” Mohammed's sister, Malak Abu Hammad, said. Questioning the ceasefire, she asked, “Do they even know God, to be talking about a ceasefire?” “Is it not enough that you've forced us to live in tents? You've forced us to live in hunger and poverty. Why are you killing us?” Muhareb asked. Several other students were wounded in the attack, which also killed another Palestinian, the Palestinian Ministry of Education said. At least six Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks across Gaza since Saturday morning. 🎥 Mohamed Ahmed

“Let me die,” American photojournalist Heidi Levine repeats to journalists Jasper Nathaniel as they try to outrun masked Israeli settlers who attacked her on Friday while she covered the olive harvest in the West Bank village of Abu Falah, near Ramallah. Around 80 settlers attacked Palestinian olive harvesters in the village, AP reported. The Palestinian Red Crescent said it treated six people injured in two attacks in Abu Falah. Levine, a freelancer for the Washington Post, told the Committee to Protect Journalists that the settlers knocked her down and kicked her for at least 10 minutes, even after she identified herself as an American journalist. They stole her camera, phone and bag. She was eventually taken to a hospital in Ramallah. "The IDF provided cover, with tear gas and machine guns, while the settlers beat" Levine "nearly to death," Nathaniel wrote, adding that soldiers then shot a Palestinian bystander and aimed their guns at and shoved paramedics trying to treat him. AP photos and circulating videos show Israeli soldiers standing over a wounded Palestinian man after they shot him. Andrey X, an activist also at the scene, said a Palestinian man "saved our lives from the settler-terrorists who attacked the olive harvesters and journalists” armed only with a slingshot.
To be clear, the only reason I was able to reach Heidi was because young Palestinians provided cover with rocks against machine-gun- and tear-gas-wielding settlers and soldiers. It’s those kids, not the settler terrorists, who the IDF was hunting after the attack.
