Not much media commentary about the huge group of influentual voters which is the self-employed. A very close election where the self employed were a key component to the win by the Coaltion and the loss by the ALP. smartcompany.com.au/business…

This is very interesting story say the least. Hard facts, #smallbiz is significantly disadvantaged and the claims being thrown out there are not correct. Also, you add the cumulative effect of state payroll taxes, the cost is greater to SME's than Bigbiz. @COSBOA #auspol
#PenaltyRates - Sunday penalty rates for workers in smbiz (not bigbiz) actually rose in July 17 as a result of FWC decisions by 28 cents or .07%. Then dropped in July 18 by $1.74 or 4.16%. So no real reason to employ a person on a Sunday. cosboa.org.au/single-post/20…

My fav topic re tech advances - fusion power. What an opp to create a cheap (as it advances), clean power source. I know Oz Govt funds a v small amt of research, does anyone know of any Oz startups in this field? #auspol2019 @Startupaus nbcnews.com/mach/science/fus…

These are great.
It’s only taken 27 years for the most obvious, useful version of Augmented Reality to appear - “can I get away with these outrageous trainers on my average feet”
Bang on the money. I did a quick straw poll down on the Mornington Peninsula. Out of 8 small biz, 5 said they couldn't open if rates were at penalty rates on GF and Easter Sunday. 🤔
The only people that pay award penalty rates on Sundays (if they open) is smbiz ppl. @SDAunion did a deal with Bigbiz to cut Sunday penalty rates. It’s been like that for 7 years. Restoring penalty rates only effects smbiz. Why? google.com.au/amp/s/amp.smh.…

RIP Inbox. I have been trying a few email systems over the last month. But I feel like I lost a lover, the next date is not quite right, the conversation is not as easy or free flowing. It really was brilliant. 😢😢😔😔
