Today, American-Scandinavian Foundation mourns the passing of His Majesty King Harald V of Norway.
A steadfast supporter of the cultural ties between Norway and the U.S. and a longtime Patron of ASF, King Harald has been a valued presence in the life of the Foundation over the years, to which we owe our profound gratitude. ASF extends our deepest condolences to Her Majesty Queen Sonja, King Haakon VIII, the Royal Family, @NorwayUS, @NorwayNYC, and the people of Norway.

Today we commemorate Juneteenth, a celebration of freedom and a recognition of the ongoing pursuit of justice and equality in the United States. As a cultural institution dedicated to fostering understanding across histories, traditions, and communities, we join in reflecting on this important holiday as we honor the resilience and contributions of Black Americans. Happy Juneteenth!
