#PossibleLove The main 4 performances are so strong & natural. I loved the documentary storyline especially when the subject matter focused on hard workers falling on tough times. But the budding connections between the couples fizzled out for me by hour 3.

“Her şeyi her şeye benzetmekten bıktım. İşte hiçbir şey başka bir şeye benzemiyor. Hatta bizim bahçedeki dut ağaçları bile birbirlerine benzemiyorlar. (…) Kerr’i izlerken, ister istemez birçok filmi hatırladım; Akrebin Yolculuğu (Kavur), Mullholand Drive (Lynch), Gölge Oyunu (Turgul), The Trial (Welles), Gorod Zero (Şahnazarov), Jacob’s Ladder (Lyne), The Truman Show (Weir), Vertigo (Hithcock), Dark City (Proyas), Abluka (Alper)…

God bless you, Sebastián Lelio, for giving us this gem. One of my favourite Julianne Moore performances of all time. The fact that you cared so deeply about this story that you chose to direct both the original and its remake yourself makes it even more special. Both films paid off beautifully. What a gift your work has been to cinema. Rest in peace ❤️

I admire POSSIBLE LOVE / #PossibleLove more than I love it, but I truly enjoyed it. Jeon Do-yeon brilliantly leads an exceptional, award-worthy ensemble, as Lee Chang-dong & Oh Jung-mi’s lived-in writing lets the themes run through the characters instead of over them. Ye-ji’s uncertain motives, the camera as a tool of power & the portrait of two marriages drifting apart give it plenty to chew on. Meanwhile, the restrained work of DP Kim Ji-yong, editor Kim Da-won & composer Jung Jaeil never gets in the way. That said, the second act drags a bit, the script leans on exposition & the wealthy couple feels thinner than the working one. The cross-couple attraction also didn’t convince me. The ending trades fireworks for something quieter & I fully get the choice. Nearly three hours of a slow-burn is a lot to ask of audiences, but I couldn't recommend it more.

A ghost who isn't hunting you but desperately searching for her lost child is somehow more terrifying than any monster with a taste for blood. What makes KM 31 - Kilometer 31 genuinely unsettling is how it roots its supernatural horror in maternal grief so raw and specific that the haunting feels less like an attack and more like a tragedy still unfolding, one that has simply claimed new victims. The twin telepathy device is not a gimmick here but a structural choice that keeps one foot planted in the world of the living and the other dragged toward something far darker, mirroring exactly the liminal state Agata herself is trapped in

#PossibleLove is another emotionally stirring and beautifully directed slowburn from Lee Chang-dong. An intimate and devastating look at burning desires, social classes, and exploitation. The performances are all outstanding. One of the year's best films.

So I found myself watching Godzilla Minus One a couple days ago, and by coincidence the sequel came out yesterday! I got to see it today, and I truly loved both these films! They’re not just great monster movies – they’re great movies, period.

Yuta Shimotsu’s NEW GROUP almost feels like a thematic prequel to BATTLE ROYALE to me. The rife bullying, forced conformity and rising tension towards authority are so strong, like you’re watching the kind of society that could eventually decide the BR Act was a reasonable idea!

Wow, is all I can say when it comes to #Wildwood. It is truly one of the best animated movies of the last decade. The animation is astounding. The voice performances from the cast are top notch. So many great sequences including a battle sequence that could go up against LOTR.

Martin McDonagh, whose films always feature an elite screenplay and gorgeous cinematography, once again delivers on both with Wild Horse Nine. John Malkovich is the early Oscar frontrunner, but I actually thought Sam Rockwell was the standout. If I could offer one very minor criticism of a film that is excellent and is guaranteed to finish in my top 10–20 of the year... it is VERY much in line with In Bruges and The Banshees of Inisherin. Really, Wild Horse Nine is a combination of both films. Which... who am I to complain? Another excellent film from Martin McDonagh.

It’s interesting seeing so many people say the pacing in Minus Zero is worse than Minus One, because I actually thought it was slightly better. Even with less Godzilla, there’s more sprinkled throughout the film between the human scenes to keep things interesting. Minus One has almost a full hour without Godzilla, so it’s interesting to see how differently people perceive the pacing in both films. #GodzillaMinusZero

LA BOLA NEGRA: a beautiful film that's both a visual feast and a towering emotional epic, graced by affecting performances from Guitarricadelafuente and Miguel Bernardeau (and an electric glorified cameo from Penélope Cruz) and a score that makes your heart ache. Should have embraced its lyricism fully and avoid being too self explanatory and educational for me in order to touch true greatness.
