We hope you enjoyed all the watery content this #worldoceansweek! No matter where on Earth we live, every drop of water we drink and each breath we take connects us to the sea. If you have the chance to visit the coast this summer, please don't miss out on exploring the ocean!
Squids are just too cool. Tiny organs in their skin called chromatophores expand and contract to change their color. They move by means of jet propulsion using their fins and tentacles for steering. In our "Creature Creator" #summercamp we explore animal movement and mechanics.
It's #worldoceansweek creature feature Friday. @belikethesea says "Flying fish leap out of the water and use their fins to glide across the sea's surface. They can "fly" 1,300ft in distance and up to 20ft in the air!" Learn more about flight in our Leonardo's Workshop #summercamp
