I am primarily interested in ways and methods of producing health and well-being among Black, particularly diasporan, populations who often reside in deleterious and alienating social environments.

Many of the issues we have are talked about in a way to attract the yt gaze.
We refuse to talk to each other to solve our problems, and yell past each other to indirectly appeal for yts to solve our social problems.
It's very apparent in contemporary gender discourse.

That whole conversation on whether America is systemically based on race was another distraction and constitutes structural gaslighting. Why do we continue to engage in this hamster wheel of madness?

Qualitative researchers, if you're working with CJ system-contacted people, be mindful of, and sensitive to trauma triggers. Recalling & discussing the impacts of the CJS can be a distressing and anxiety inducing emotional journey.
