GB News had me on this morning to discuss whether to make it ILLEGAL to join the EU.
Obviously mad and not even their proponent for the motion actually backed it⊠but the host was insistent.

In the context of the Canada-EU partnership and growing UK support for joining, Westminster needs to catch up.

The EU âcostâ was for regional investment (via stable, predictable international guarantee), shared systems & collaborations (reducing costs), and âbureaucratsâ tasked with stripping away bureaucratic barriersâŠ
âŠall of which we found out, to our severe cost, when we Brexited.

Labour, Tories, Lib Dems and Greens: I demand you stand down in Clacton. I will be a unity candidate and pledge to build at least one affordable house.
Nigel Farage says he wants The People versus the Establishment. So be it.
Leave him to me.

If thereâs a singular character for all to unite around to take on Farage in Clacton.
Iâm serious. Even without Binfaceâs wit, just for the optics, globally. It shows what we think of Farageâs impulsive stunt. Think about it. Keep thinking.đđ

Libertarian Brexiteer, who doesnât trust the state to build stuff, wants government subsidies to build a new stadium for Manchester United and for the EU (?!) to help fund his factories.
How seriously have these people thought about their politics?
British chemicals tycoon Sir Jim Ratcliffe has urged Brussels to provide funding for his âŹ5bn (ÂŁ4.3bn) Belgian mega-factory.
He says it will help Europe fight off devastating Chinese competition đ

This makes an absolute mockery of Starmerâs pledge, just a few hours ago, to put the country âat the heart of Europeâ. And why on earth is the Brexit vote one that can never be revisited - even when a majority in the country recognise it was a mistake & want to return? Madness
EXC: Lisa Nandy tells @cathynewman there will be no return to single market or free movement with the EU (raising the question of how far Keir Starmer's EU reset announced this AM can actually go)
âI don't think anyone in this country wants to reopen the Brexit debate. We had a referendum. That referendum was won by leave.
"The majority of people voted for itâŠ. there's no appetite, either from the government, from Europe, or from the public, I think, to start getting into renegotiating things like free movement, single market access.
"We went around that track for years during the Brexit wars. This country doesn't need any more division."

Starting in 2027, smartphones sold in the European Union will be required to have user-replaceable batteries designed for greater durability and more charging cycles.
Manufacturers must also provide spare parts and repair manuals for at least 10 years after a model is released.
This is real pressure against planned obsolescence. It should mean phones that actually last longer, cheaper fixes, and a lot less electronic waste piling up. About time.

Mad Brexiteers back to their old ways of spinning trite alarmism out of nothing.
Whatâs the story?
Simply that the term âmarmaladeâ used to be just for citrus fruits, but the EU now allows it to be used more broadly, so orange marmalade should be labelled as such.
Thatâs it.
The mad EU is back to its bad old ways. Perhaps it will rename Paddington next. mol.im/a/15703815
