80% of the majority in the Obergefell decision were appointed by Clinton and Obama and confirmed by a Democratic controlled Senate. Crack open a fucking book on American history next time, jackass.
Democrats did nothing for gay marriage. It was achieved entirely thanks to individuals pursuing equal protection plans through the federal courts

When a movie like 'Clayface', primarily sold on the DC Comics brand, still opens below 'Other Mommy' and sells fewer tickets than 'Catwoman,' that’s a verdict on the IP and the whole caped-crusading sub-genre...

Weekend Box Office: #Clayface tops the box office with $24 million in North America (and $43 million worldwide), yet another sign that Marvel/DC movies are no longer any more of a sure thing than non-comic-book genre offerings. via @ScottMendelson tinyurl.com/358e9xuu

If original cast return as their original characters then it’s not a reboot, it’s a revival. How do we lose this battle?

So, #Clayface is less a horror flick than a supernatural/pseudoscience revenge thriller. While fun and sometimes clever, this DC Studios genre approximation feels restrained and leans on IP awareness and brand-specific fandom to compensate for its comparative shortcomings.

It's a common conundrum in this decade's superhero films: the implicit notion that "fans" will accept an inferior riff on (in this case) RoboCop, The Crow, & Upgrade because it's a DC comic book movie and stars a Batman villain. via @ScottMendelson tinyurl.com/mry9vcxh

Nathan Fielder's Elizabeth Holmes-centric documentary further shows that, while audiences may like or gravitate toward PLF theaters, such engagements shouldn't be treated as a pass/fail metric for a successful theatrical release. tinyurl.com/2rnkej9s via @ScottMendelson

With $21 million at the domestic #boxoffice after five days in theaters, #YouCanSeeEverything is another example of how the right movie can succeed with or without IMAX, Dolby or any other "premium large format" auditoriums.

We still work there and the guy behind the LOGAN materials is @ElyO, who continues to deliver insanely good campaigns for the studio!
Dudes who used to work at 20th century fox probably still talk about the guy who edited this fucking trailer like he’s a Greek legend or some shit

The oddest thing about the otherwise superb WILDWOOD is that the sweeping action fantasy is actually much more narratively straightforward and a bit less emotionally melancholy than its goosebump-inducing trailers imply. But yeah, @LAIKAStudios's batting average remains 1.00.

I do find it amusing that at least some of the post-release "controversy" over You Can See Everything, a film that is (among other things) about unreliable narrators, is based upon the notion that its filmmakers took everything its subject said at face value.

All respect, but I'd argue that the film's blow-out success ($15.6 million for the weekend) is another positive sign that movies don't need premium-large format auditoriums to pull best-case-scenario box office.
I think it’s time for You Can See Everything to get an IMAX and Dolby Cinema release! This is clearly the most popular movie of the year and is destined to win multiple Academy Awards. Let’s make it happen, @A24 @IMAX @nathanfielder! 🙌

He must also unequivocally condemn 'The Chevy Chase Show, 'Superman 64,' 'Chinese Democracy,' the series finale of 'How I Met Your Mother,' the Dark Universe and that tonally-askew "Rocky vs. Drago" cut of 'Rocky IV.'
Unless Abdul El-Sayed can unequivocally condemn the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, Hezbollah, SJP, the IRGC, and Hasan Piker, Barack Obama should absolutely not campaign with him. I understand and support the drive to win majorities in Congress, but we Democrats will be doing immeasurable harm to ourselves if we drop all standards and violate our best principles in pursuit of that goal.

They’ve been doing it the entire Disney+ run. You all just hated them and called them woke because the focus characters weren’t white men.
VisionQuest (as of Ep2) is exactly what these spin off shows should have always been: sincere character studies for less popular heroes. So far, this is a great palate cleanser after LANTURDS.
