Every USC fan told me I didn’t know what I was talking about. USC should’ve stayed in the Pac-12. They weren’t built for the Big Ten, and they helped blow up a conference chasing a payday instead of on the field results. You did this to yourselves, Trojans.
USC made about $212M in athletics revenue in its final Pac-12 season. Last year, that climbed by roughly $20M after joining the Big Ten.
But here’s the tradeoff: if USC had stayed in the Pac-12, its path to the College Football Playoff likely would’ve been much easier and would of made more than that… Instead, if this season goes sideways, the same fans cheering the move will be calling for a $90M Lincoln Riley buyout.
So did USC really come out ahead? More revenue is great, but if it leads to missing the Playoff and writing a nine-figure coaching check, the Pac-12 years may have been the better financial deal after all.

Another night in Chinatown, Washington DC… 🤷♂️
DC Police were called out, but both fights had already broken up once officers arrived. This was a block away from Capital One Arena.
Happy early Halloween! 🎃 – at Washington, DC

Oubre with 10 points on 4-6 shooting at halftime. Said he’s “playing harder” and that “he’s been in his head a bit about learning sets.” Both of those topics were covered in this article. Explained there were actions where he was unsure of his place. Still new.
Defending in liminal space. Peel switching from half-court. Botching guard-to-guard screen coverages. Passing when a defender loses a shoe, & not enough going "right."

Kudos to the Milwaukee Brewers for sending five planes to Tampa Bay, bringing along not only their players and families, but their entire front office staff and scouting and development departments.

The Pacers earn a comfortable win in Brooklyn against the Nets 136-109.
An extended 51-23 run bridging the 2nd and 3rd quarters put the game away.

Indiana Pacers center Ivica Zubac got an x-ray on his left ankle, which came back negative, coach Rick Carlisle told me postgame. Carlisle said Zubac’s ankle is swollen and it’s unlikely he’ll play tomorrow night against the Milwaukee Bucks. Zubac left the arena on crutches.

Thought Oubre was interesting in his halftime interview with @PacersJJ . Said he needs to get out of his head when it comes to learning the playcalls and the system and just play hard.
