Here is the problem with a lot of environmental measures aimed at helping us towards Net Zero: They are lifestyle changes, proposed by people who enjoy that way of living but don't understand why lots of other people don't. Until we have found a way of including everyone then we are going to increase the divide.

Looking back at Swindon Makerspace's history as part of our 11 year birthday! Nearly 6 years ago we almost doubled the amount of space by building a whole new mezzanine floor.

Celebrating 11 Years of Swindon Makerspace! Who could have imagined that when we started 11 years ago we would be where we are today. We have been at our space in Cheney Manor for more than half of that & always innovating on how to better utilise what we have built together.

One of our members has created a masterpiece that combines functionality and beauty. The rack not only holds your beloved nail varnishes but also features mesmerizing LED lighting that illuminates each bottle like a work of art. #Swindon #Makerspace #design

Extortionate cost estimates are stopping projects in their tracks before they can even start. A wind or solar farm that could cost £5m to build is quoted at over £20m just for the grid connection alone.

The problem: we have one of the worst connection queues in Europe. You can physically build a wind turbine or solar farm in a matter of months, but the average wait time to get it connected is 5-10+ years.

This: "Until recently, I thought younger people, demanding a fairer, kinder world, would transform our politics. Now I’m not so sure. I believe Brand and others are helping to confuse and distract them in their millions, shutting down meaningful engagement." I see it in my kids

1. What the hell has happened to Russell Brand? Here’s my column on his terrible political journey, plus a thread on the wider context, that explains what makes his shift so dangerous. 1/ theguardian.com/commentisfre…

In an age of distortion, public figures have powerful tools and a responsibility. This is an object lesson in how that can go wrong, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

This is a honey bee. The pollen on her legs is from dandelion. What killed her appears to be on the dandelion which is the first food they have in spring. My bee keeper friend says - Please don't spray against weeds until you see blackberries blooming. No bees, no food.
