Remember NARRATIFY? The gaming consultancy that promoted Relooted and called it a success?
Co-founder Mickaël Newton suggests cultural experts should become "decision-makers or at least real stakeholders" on game projects.
Advice isn't enough. They want decision-making power.

WOW. Gwinnett County Public Schools (@GwinnettSchools) in GA reportedly held "leadership training" that portrays White people as racists.
More anti-White/DEI propaganda in taxpayer-funded public schools.

RIP Walter Koenig.
I can only imagine how hard it was to carry on after losing your own son. Nevertheless, he did. A real sweet guy, and always a pro. We will miss you, Chekhov…

Because of Republican Policies, Border Security Is Better Than Ever: Here's Why That's a Bad Thing for Republicans
Republicans have lost one of their greatest advantages in the last election: the border is quiet.
While border security was a major priority for South Texas voters in 2024, in the current midterms, many locals say it is no longer the top concern. wapo.st/4BoBEWA

"Lived in the U.S. for 25 years with no criminal record..."
Yes, because avoiding detection by Federal Law Enforcement for over two decades is *actually* a feather in one's cap, don'tcha know?
A Texas father who had lived in the U.S. for 25 years with no criminal record was finishing his night shift as an Uber driver when immigration agents detained him.
Without being able to speak to his lawyer or a judge, he was put on a plane and sent first to Ghana, a country where he had no ties. He was then sent to his home country, despite a determination by a U.S. immigration court judge that he could not be deported there due to likely persecution. cbsn.ws/3Ude66r

NARRATIFY is BACK!
After promoting Relooted and claiming it was a success, they've got plenty more to say about gaming.
But can we make their latest presentation entertaining, or will boredom finally defeat us?
Premiering TONIGHT at 7 PM PT: youtube.com/watch?v=w8TStbw_…
ALT Gaming consultants have a remarkable talent for making video games sound boring. And NARRATIFY might have just given us our favorite example yet. Welcome back to Psycho-Babble! 🦇 This week, We react to Mickaël Newton of NARRATIFY and his Games for Change presentation, "From Extraction to Transmission: Building Authentic African Narratives." We've covered NARRATIFY before, particularly its promotion of Relooted, but this time we're sitting through its ideas about authentic storytelling, cultural representation, narrative consulting, and the role consultants should play in video game development. Along the way, we discuss Ubisoft, Resident Evil 5, Sweet Baby Inc., Relooted, cultural consultants becoming decision-makers, and whether these presentations have lost sight of what makes games entertaining in the first place. There's also a strange hypothetical walking simulator, an unfortunate-looking island, an unexpected glue-related mythology lesson, and plenty of increasingly sleep-d
