Anyone know why, over 450,000 years, CO2 has lagged temperature, and, if CO2 drives temperature where did it come from 450,000 years ago to now, without man burning fossil fuels or cows digesting food? Graph from Vostok ice core and reads right to left.

As someone who believes we are better off with leadership than anarchy, and respect the chain of command once established, I'm wondering how this goes... to big to poll, but one could answer in replies without anonymity.

Stagnation is the new agenda, cut public spending, raise taxes - no growth. What happened to @trussliz ? she has disappeared! I expect her next rare public appearance will be PM resignation.

A Day to remember - 1978 - I was on the trawler in front, towing the "Vera", and old Belgian beamer/ converted sidetrawler, into Padstow in a force 10 NW storm, Pentire Head in the background and sand banks ahead! needless to say we found the channel into the harbour.

Not posted a bike ride for a while - today went to Berry Head Fort - the old lookout from the Napoleonic Wars is still there, it's well hidden! - the lookout was protected from all weathers and offered views in every direction before the Coast Guard station was built. lovely day.

Out on the bike for a spin, Churston Court, room for a bike past gas leak on Bascombe and shelter from shower at Parish Church to keep his new tyres dry!

Out for a quick spin via lanes to Brixham Harbour and back with new tyres -700x23c and 700x28c arrived from Italy, 23c on front 28c rear, the new Vittoria Corsa has less road resistance and more grip on corners, l've always used Vittoria Corsa and this is an improvement!!

Short ride, local lanes and villages. Further up river at Stoke Gabrielle, looking toward the river from the creek dam and the other way to the Mill Pond.

Down to the river - higher ferry, looking downriver to Kingswear and up river, winding towards Dittisham. Not much traffic, ferry running on low capacity.

Up to Hill Head again but then down to Kingswear top of Ridley Hill and Dartmouth Naval College view, up Mount Ridley to Day Beacon then coast to Nethway Cottage - Beautiful Day.

Up to Hill Head, into Brixham harbour and across the bay, bit of traffic not many people about for bank holiday.
