The obsession with 3rd down is exactly the problem. Sam isn't at his best in a dink-and-dunk, RRP offense built around “manageable” 3rd downs. The real problem is 1st and 2nd down. No explosive plays, no emphasis on Sam's strengths.

Garrett has practiced all week and all indications point towards him playing. A big lift.

The plan is for Nelson to avoid Injured Reserve, and his timeline is a few weeks. Seattle has two games, then a Week 11 bye.

I'm confused by the running right/left discourse with regard to Nelson being on the left side. Unless it's a toss, stretch, or pin/pull where you're really trying to get the ball in the alley, the backside is just as important as the frontside for the cutback's sake.

The one year Mike had a full OC search two of the main candidates were Kubiak and Udinski, who is going to be a HC.
When he had a limited talent pool late in process, the OCs have been rough.
Think Mike needs a former HC as his next OC so he's freed up. Steichen would be ideal
