Per @BNightengale, Kleine is emerging as a leading candidate for the Houston #Astros General Manager position.

BREAKING: Concerning rumors emerging out of UCLA regarding a potentially serious leg injury to #Bruins QB Nico Iamaleava. Iamaleava exited Saturday’s win over Oregon with a leg injury and did not return. His status for next week’s matchup against the #Badgers is now a major storyline. A potentially devastating blow for UCLA if he’s forced to miss time. More updates to come.

Luke Fickell and the Wisconsin #Badgers have an uphill battle ahead to keep Green Bay Notre Dame Academy star RB Kingston Allen home. The four-star 2027 recruit remains committed to Wisconsin despite taking a recent visit to Minnesota and Ohio State. Allen has reaffirmed his commitment to the Badgers, but the recruiting battle isn’t over yet.

#Badgers.

BREAKING: Wisconsin #Badgers WR Malachi Coleman has been a full participant in practice this week and is expected to play Saturday at Penn State, per sources. Huge news for Wisconsin ahead of its Big Ten opener in Happy Valley. Coleman gives Colton Joseph another explosive weapon in the passing game.

SOURCE: The Wisconsin #Badgers have named Old Dominion transfer Colton Joseph their starting quarterback ahead of the season opener against Notre Dame, sources tell me. After an extensive quarterback battle throughout fall camp, Joseph ultimately beat out true freshman Ryan Hopkins and Louisville transfer Deuce Adams for the job. The Badgers will turn to Joseph in the highly anticipated opener against the Fighting Irish at Lambeau Field.

What a moment for Dayton Layne Hall. All knotted up at 3 as we had to the bottom of the 10th.

BigXthaPlug is playing and Dayton Layne is on the mound for the 7th.

Dayton Layne has grabbed his glove and begun throwing in the #Brewers bullpen.

Welcome back, Kyle Harrison. Three up, three down on nine pitches. A pivotal piece for the #Brewers’ rotation as we enter the home stretch.

Reminder: Just because the 5:00 PM trade deadline has passed doesn’t mean there won’t be more trades. Teams only need to have submitted the deals to MLB by the deadline. It can take time for physicals, paperwork, and league approval to be finalized. I’m expecting trades to be announced over the next several minutes.

Source: With Tarik Skubal now headed to the Dodgers, the Brewers have shifted their focus to other arms on the market. Among the pitchers Milwaukee has checked in on: George Kirby, Casey Mize, and Luke Weaver. The club is expected to remain aggressive as it searches for pitching help ahead of the deadline.

Former Wisconsin standout AJ Storr is now set to attend his ninth school in the last nine years after Judge Charlotte Sweeney’s injunction for the Class of 2022 granted another year of eligibility. College basketball’s version of a world tour continues.

SOURCE: The Milwaukee #Brewers are widely expected by rival executives to be “big game hunting” ahead of the August 3 MLB trade deadline. Armed with one of baseball’s deepest farm systems, Milwaukee has the prospect capital that opposing clubs covet, and industry sources believe this is the year the Brewers are willing to push their chips to the center of the table.

#Michigan did discuss Greg Gard internally, but the Wolverines never expanded their search nationally. No formal contact was made, so it never progressed beyond internal conversations.

The #Bucks have registered “serious” interest in #Kings star Domantas Sabonis. Milwaukee has reportedly always held the big man in high regards, and new coach Taylor Jenkins is “in love” with the potential fit next to his young guards.

Excellent work by the Milwaukee #Bucks brain trust of Horst & Newton to get their guy.

The pick is in: Ebuka Okorie has been selected with the No. 17 overall pick and is headed to Memphis.
