Why is it that majority of the comments are hating Eileen Gu? What's the context here?

based take: Go would be the greatest programming language if making a variable public is not through capitalizing the first letter
hot take: Go would be the greatest programming language on earth if it had enums and union types. they simplified their way into having to do really weird stuff just to represent reality. you should still probably use it though.

Congrats @elfa_ai on appearing on the official Solana post! Definitely one of the most well built product that helps traders to execute with confidence! gelfa
.@elfa_ai is building for a market driven by attention. Elfa listens continuously, interprets in real time, and lets AI agents act on Solana the moment conditions are met.

BULLISH
Bundie is expanding to @solana and building for the @colosseum Solana Frontier Hackathon with the support of @SuperteamMY. On EVM, we bundle yield across protocols in one click. That product is on mainnet and shipping. On Solana, autonomous agents launch DeFi strategies as tradeable assets. Anyone can back the ones they trust. Predict on how they'll perform. Settled from on-chain net asset value. Three ways to earn. One market. Waitlist: solana.bundie.fi

Hot take: DeFi as an investment narrative is overrated. As much as we web3 people hate centralised banks, their model makes more sense. Banking started with payments, ensuring money moves reliably. Investments and lending comes afterwards. But for crypto, speculations, investments, and lending were the first thing that was jumped into, and overhyped until today. At least before the Drift and KelpDAO incident. From a tech POV it makes sense, since the ability to deploy contracts and interact with programmable money is an "easy" way to launch a profitable startup in a short amount of time. Business POV it doesnt make sense. Real world use case of crypto was to skip the traditional banking rails in multiple hops and achieve near-instant. Programmable matters a lot, but for institutions to jump in liquidity and settlement time are the main reason. For people to use crypto is not let them realise there's crypto. Hiding away the complexity certainly matters, using it for payments matters. @SolanaFndn realises it, really like how @useDecal is doing as well. The real gem lies in payments, but doing payments whether it's onchain or offchain is strategically hard. But well if anyone does it first and well, they win. @JupSpend is an example cause my non-crypto mentioned about it, that's how you know the product is good.

My take? Staking, lending, LSTs all are great, but @solana literally wins if it's able to compete against @0xPolygon and @tempo in the payment sector.

As much as I love @solana, these metrics don't seem to prove anything. At least in Asia. The startup i'm working at aims to solve treasury operations inconvenience for CFOs using a stablecoin sandwich model. Our target market is in Asia, and the goal is to integrate different licensed onramp/offramp providers. Guess what's the chain that is supported by all the providers? @0xPolygon While some people like to joke about how Polygon is inactive, they are doing massive work to make Polygon the default in payments. Their numbers show trillion dollars of transactions as well, and their efforts are apparent. I can't tell you how many times I tried to convince my bosses how Solana is the next consumer payment superchain, but it doesn't make sense to build on a chain where there are some big licensing partners (at least they were big to me). We know they would at least pick a chain in EVM, so taking the extra miles to implement contracts on Solana seem... unnecessary I don't blame Solana for this. The infrastructure is ready, but the velocity of the institution and compliance architecture still remain the cumbersome element. Excited to see what awaits the Asia market @SolanaFndn!

Love to see posts like this, it tells you how much they think about users, even from an architectural standpoint.
Bundie is not affected by the Kelp DAO exploit. The attack was partly enabled by Kelp's 1/1 DVN configuration, requiring only one verifier for cross-chain messages. Bundie requires 2 DVN verifications, so a single spoofed message cannot execute. We also have zero rsETH or Kelp DAO exposure. Your funds are safe.

I was lucky enough to get sponsored to attend network school as a malaysian few months back. the only thing i can say is, that's what we said to some of the committees back then. They was mentioned that they would try to drop the price a little, which they did although it still seems expensive even for someone working at KL. was the experience worth it? - YES, in the context of you want to lock in, try out an extremely healthy lifestyle, talk to positive people, want to figure out what to build or do in that period (startup or life even). AND you have enough funds for you to try out this lifestyle. - if you still want to figure out whether this is something worth it, ocassionally there's some Malaysian events that allow you to check out (@SuperteamMY people are there right now!) For everything they provide over there, it doesn't feel economically viable to lower the price even more (luxurious hotel, facilities, food, etc). And yes there are Malaysians who live in Network School, but of course I think it benefits to some people only. If you happen to have a plan on how to host a cheaper version of NS. Im excited to see how it would turn out!

like why the fuck we need anchor v2 when it's just trying to mimic what quasar can do while placing a bunch of hardcoded values? just go with quasar guys, the blueshift team is obviously cooking much better
Quasar has demonstrated unprecedented levels of performance and devex. This is obviously inconvenient for Anchor's roadmap. As a result, we're being pressured to discontinue Quasar and upstream tooling improvements into Anchor V2 instead. Real talk: What do @solana_devs want?

APAC accounts for 60% of global QR payment activity. That's not an experiment. That's how people pay. India: 709M active UPI QR codes. More payment touchpoints than adults with bank accounts in most Western countries. Vietnam: QR payments grew 61.6% in volume and 150.7% in value year-on-year. Thailand: PromptPay drives 44% of online spend and 43% of in-person spend. Malaysia: 61.5% QR adoption (2nd only to China). DuitNow QR transactions doubled to 3 billion in 2025.

When Jupiter ships QR payments in these markets, they're not trying to change behavior. They're slotting into it. When scan-to-pay is already muscle memory, adoption costs almost nothing. In Vietnam, street vendors accept QR. In Thailand, PromptPay handles 44% of in-person spend. That's not an app people open deliberately. It's how you pay for lunch. In the US, you'd be asking people to change how they pay. You'd convince merchants, educate users, fight card networks. In APAC, scan-to-pay is already there. The only thing that changes is what's underneath: stablecoin settlement instead of bank-to-bank. The user doesn't know. The user doesn't care. The blockchain becomes plumbing, not a product. This is why APAC-first is structurally different from a US launch.
