It's #NationalDogDay a chance to say thank you to our amazing Search Dogs. As well as loyal family pets our team dogs are also partners to thier handlers and ready to respond when needed to search for vulnerable missing people.

“Volunteering for Hampshire Search & Rescue Dogs is a hugely satisfying role - I get to go out and help vulnerable members of the community, with my trusted K9 partner at my side.” Dog Handler Conor and Search Dog Maya

The chauffeur tried the sitting on a bench thing with both of us today. I told you I bark a lot! A bit manic compared to @SearchdogMaya and RPD Lorrie. #activespringers #bonkers.
Maya declared fit today following a small injury that has kept her sidelined for a few weeks.
Great to have her back doing her thing, ready to serve to community at a moments notice.

Last week on a high risk missing persons search, Maya managed to acquire a small cut on her front left paw, because of this she has to wear boots to go outside for the time being….she’s not overly impressed about it.

With mock assessments passed last week for Maya & I, we took some time today to really enjoy our training before it all ramps up again next week, ready for nationals.
It’s a joy to see all those years of training pan out in front of me.
