This is fantastic. Thank you @pgcornwell for leading this effort.
Wow. The Journalist Furlough Fund is $498 away from $50,000 - the goal we increased three times because donors are so gosh-darn generous and care about the journalists covering their communities. Funds are going to 175-plus journalists in 45 states.

In Kirkland Washington State Patrol crime lab techs are getting ready to go into the Kingsgate house where two people were stabbed last night. We’re told a man was killed, a woman was hurt. The suspect, a man known by the victims, is in police custody.
.@KirklandWAPD say they’ve made an arrest in a stabbing inside a Kingsgate house. Police were called to the house off 131st Avenue NE around 2 a.m. Six other people were at the home when police got there. #KOMONews
Oh, you forgot about the super scathing, shame-inducing, notes full of underlining and words in all caps. Those are my favorite.

Seattle passive aggressive would have been taking a pic of the car and tweeting about it without taking any other action. :)

.@MayorJenny says Judge Robart was worried about mediation/arbitration when it comes to firing officers. Durkan says she never thought the department would reform and change so much. She says “all and all”...”I think where he says we’re in compliance I’m very heartened by it.”
In the hour, or so, since US Dist. Court Judge James Robart ruled the @SeattlePD is not in full compliance of a federal consent decree, @MayorJenny says she’s still consulting lawyers about what his ruling means. In fact, she has talked to 4 lawyers who were in the courtroom.
Judge James Robart: “I am very proud of the Seattle Police Department.” He says they’ve “embraced” changes he’s mandated and the officer deserve thanks. He says he’s now leaving it up to all sides to get the department into full and effective compliance.
Judge Robart criticizes the department’s handling of an officer who punched a handcuffed woman. Adley Shepherd, was fired in 2016 by former Seattle Police Chief Kathleen O'Toole after a lengthy investigation. He was later reinstated.
