The love for Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba in Lango and Acholi is overwhelming. As we entered Acholi, residents of Puranga-Pawech Subcounty in Pader district couldn’t let us pass without a warm welcome.

To the men and women with whom I served, I say a big thank you. Together, we scaled the plains of Kitgum, the Kilak Hills of Gulu, the Zoka forests of Amuru, the dense forests of the Congo, the deserts of Somalia, and the vast plains of South Sudan and the Central African Republic, all in search of peace and stability, not only for the people of Uganda, but for our entire region. Wherever duty called, we went. We answered the call without hesitation. Today, it is not only Uganda celebrating the peace and stability we helped build. Our neighbours are celebrating too. To every man and woman who stood beside me through those difficult years, thank you for your courage, sacrifice, loyalty and service. We served together. We endured together. And together, we made a difference.

We are not in PLU for positions. We are here because we believe in its values and objectives. Our Chairman General @mkainerugaba founded it without positions in mind. We will only retire when those values and objectives are fully achieved.

On behalf of my Chairman, General @mkainerugaba, I extend sincere gratitude to the over 350 Honorable Members of Parliament who turned up on short notice for Hon. Oboth Oboth’s thanksgiving ceremony, at his home in Mukono. This was a powerful show of the spirit that should guide our Parliament and our party.
