According to our information, Geely will not take over Alpine's Hypercar programme in 2027. The Chinese group was the only serious candidate to keep Signatech's A424 operation on the WEC grid. Mike Conway will retire from full-time racing at the end of the 2026 WEC season. The 43-year-old Briton has been part of Toyota’s WEC line-up since 2014, winning 20 races, two Drivers’ World Championships and the 24 Hours of Le Mans twice, in 2021 and 2026. His final race with Toyota will be the 6 Hours of Monza on November 8 — his 94th start for the team.
