A grim snapshot of Palestinian life in the West Bank - that we witnessed over a week:
- Settlers besieging a family in their own home
- Israeli authorities demolishing Palestinian properties
- Settlers repeatedly attacking farmers, even beating to death more than a dozen lambs
- Israeli soldiers blocking the delivery of water to an isolated community

We spent a week in the Occupied West Bank:
We saw bloody settler attacks, Palestinian homes demolished & tense interactions with Israeli soldiers
Here's a short clip ⬇️
Including our attempt to reach a Palestinian family besieged by "hilltop youth" settlers - before we were violently stopped

After a very brief stay in immigration detention, the decision has been reversed and I have now been allowed to enter Israel
Grateful to all those who offered their help
Concerned to hear other journalists have faced similar issues in recent weeks 🙏🏽

Heartbreaking & courageous testimony from young Afghan women banned from formal education beyond primary school - and barred from many jobs
Our report on the 5th anniversary of the Taliban takeover, filmed by brave local journalists working with @MarjanaSadat
Some reflections on five years of Taliban rule in Afghanistan: substack.com/@seckermani/not…
Five years ago I watched the Taliban sweep into Kabul
Their subsequent rule has been devastating for so many Afghan women and girls - barred from an education beyond primary school and from most jobs… along with dozens of other restrictions
Human rights groups call it gender apartheid
The Taliban’s victory over American & Afghan Govt forces has (largely) brought an end to decades of conflict - a massive step in a country where dozens of civilians died every day
But they squandered the opportunity to gain genuine legitimacy by implementing such draconian measures
Even many (privately) within the group disagree with the ban on education - but clearly dont care enough to push for change

Israeli settlers have been laying siege to three Palestinian homes in Qusra in the West Bank, blocking roads and cutting off water and electricity.
The Israeli army says it has dismantled the camp but activists say settlers are still surrounding the homes and the families remain trapped inside.
Settler attacks have soared in recent years, with critics accusing Israel’s government and security forces of failing to stop them.Israeli

Peace activist Awdah Hathaleen was shot dead— on camera— by Yinon Levi one year ago today.
Awdah’s family/friends were prevented from having proper funeral ceremony.
Today, they’re prevented from peacefully marking his anniversary.
Yet the man who killed him walks free

“Prospera” is part of a wider movement - that includes libertarians / crypto enthusiasts / people who want to implant data chips into their body & reverse ageing
But it’s a movement that’s also backed by some of the richest and most powerful / successful men in the world… and it’s challenging established notions of governance

Shabbir Ahmed's sickening crimes clearly deserve the harshest of sentences
But given he arrived in the UK as a child and developed his criminal behaviour here (and is now a 73 year old man)
I don't see why Pakistan would / should accept his deportation?
His victims would be better served by him serving a genuine *life* sentence in jail rather than being able to start afresh in Pakistan
EXCLUSIVE: I have spoken to Pakistani official sources, who have confirmed to me that Grooming Gang convict Shabbir Ahmed renounced his Pakistani citizenship more than 30 years ago and does not hold Pakistani nationality.
According to my sources, Pakistan therefore has no legal grounds or obligation to accept him back.
This is a developing story, and I will share further updates as more information becomes available.@SkyNews @Telegraph @BBCNews @itvnews @piersmorgan @LBC @GBNEWS
Israel has killed over a dozen people in southern Lebanon, after Hezbollah killed 4 Israeli soldiers overnight
Hezbollah accuses Israeli soldiers of trying to take more territory - Israel accuses Hezbollah of violating the ceasefire
Lebanon - now again - a major sticking point in the US-Iran negotiations
And crucially it comes at a time when Trump & Vance are growing vocally more impatient with Israel's stance
