I find it significant that the most AI-pilled people I know use AI for basically everything…except for writing
It’s remarkably consistent. Why? Because to write is to think. And outsourcing your critical thinking to AI is intellectual suicide

9 years ago we built 3 simple things. A minting tool, a marketplace, and a feed. Watching art happen onchain live felt like magic.
Today I'm excited to announce a fun feed redesign that incorporates everything you can do on SuperRare today including recent posts, drops, and more for better discovery.
Check it out and give us feedback!
I always think collecting isn’t just about how much money we have. It’s about knowing what and whom we’re collecting. That’s how we actually uplift this space.
Buying what we like is fine. But researching the piece and the artist first is essential. That’s how we support real artists instead of just consuming.
We’re not just consumers or collectors.
We’re believers in the crypto art space.
We gotta do better.
what a luxury it is to have my agents running scripts to scrape the metadata across multiple chains, contracts, and token ids. thousands of records being scraped and formatted into my json structure. i could always code, but i found it mind-numbing to do (sorry devs). in that respect AI is the gift that keeps on giving.

most artists don't need more followers. they need ten people who actually care.
ten is enough to build anything.
who are your ten?
okay... progress on collecting the data for my artwork today. a lot of the initial progress was in determining the structure of the data and the json structure. i did that manually and tested it with the app i developed to handle it and now that it's working and have a solid understanding of what needs to be collected, i'm automating with a little help from my agents. creating python scripts that scrape the data for me. this should go a lot faster now.

Welcome to Square Bank.
just minted $1,000,000 of Square Fiat directly into the vault across all 7 denominations in Fibonacci sequence.
THE TELLER WINDOW IS OPEN:
Tag an artist or collector who deserves good luck + drop & your ENS/address.
I’m sending pairs of $2 Square Bills from my reserve to the best co-signs today. 🏦✨👇🏼
🤖 Made with AI
charli's post reminded me of something. i have ADHD, and AI makes sense for how my brain works. it reduces the friction between having an idea and doing something with it.
i use AI often. to write, code, make art, automate things and much more. that doesn't mean i'm outsourcing my thinking. treating AI use as something to detect, label, and stigmatize ignores why some people use it in the first place.
anyway, there's a growing body of research into how AI can support executive function in people with ADHD.
the sexual tension between @Substack’s AI detection tools and every suggested post on my feed being written by AI
“If you don't like a piece of art, or what an artist is doing, don't buy their work. Simple as that. But don't think you have any right to try and tell them to conform to your demands.”
🤌💋
I disagree with this positioning for a few reasons:
1. CryptoPunks were given away free.
2. @larvalabs, the artists who made CryptoPunks, explicitly stated they couldn't be changed, even if they wanted to change them.
3. The artists also explicitly stated the code and it's functions are just as much "the art" as the visual imagery.
4. There's no obligation or expectation that all other artists and all other projects need to copy CryptoPunks.
So to be clear, LL isn't choosing not to change CryptoPunks, they are unable to because that's how they designed it from the start. That doesn't mean another artist has to follow that same plan, or has to commit to not changing something. It doesn't even mean LL needs to do the same thing in later projects.
This discussion is happening because @lphaCentauriKid continues to change Argonauts (just as @jackbutcher and others have done with other projects in the past). To my knowledge A.C.K. never said "I can't/won't ever change this" the way LL did, so even the implication that he should be held the the same standard is problematic.
And by the way, I'm not suggesting @Punk4725 is holding A.C.K. to that standard, but plenty of other people are and that's a whole other issue. No one, no matter how "og" they think they are, should feel like they can tell artists what they are allowed to do with their work. We've seen a few different examples of that in recent days (including a collector arguing their own religious beliefs should dictate what subjects artists are allowed to explore) and it's ugly every time. If you don't like a piece of art, or what an artist is doing, don't buy their work. Simple as that. But don't think you have any right to try and tell them to conform to your demands.

If your VERY FIRST reaction to watching a horrific Learjet crash is “That looks fake,” “It was a missile,” or “Where’s the debris?” then congratulations. You’ve just identified yourself as the perfect mark for every conspiracy grifter on the internet.
It’s the same breathtaking stupidity that gave us the 9/11 Pentagon “missile” and “missing debris” conspiracy theories.
A horrific tragedy unfolds before your eyes, and before you know a single fact, your first instinct is to invent a conspiracy. STFU & GTFO!
You’re not “just asking questions.” You’re broadcasting your ignorance, your gullibility, and your complete inability to distinguish evidence from bullshit.
And the people exploiting these tragedies know EXACTLY who you are. They know how to manipulate you, outrage you, and keep you coming back for another helping of manufactured mystery.
They turn human suffering into conspiracy content, and you eagerly spread it for them.
You think you’re exposing a cover-up. You’re actually exposing how easily you can be played.
The grifters have a product. You’re the customer.
