Arguably the only reason to remain on Twitter is it's one of the few social media places with a big Japanese presence that people overseas can still interact with, in contrast to platform like LINE. Bluesky has very few Japanese users.

Yeah see this is something I've noticed too. The Japanese netouyo are like most other right wingers online (ignorant, racist, dumb arguments etc.) What separates them is that they've generally only talked amongst each other so their arguments are even stupider than average.

I think the issue with Japanese interacting with the rest of the world is what happens when ultranationalism becomes your last refuge. These people have been up their own asses for so long that they’re completely unprepared to have their glaring flaws read back to them.

I am highly convinced at this point that these -netouyo- people (is that how you guys call them?) are financed by some type of power to have such a high algorithmic rate of visibility. I know Non right winger Japanese people exist, but the algorithm barely seems to help them!!
