When police officers do wrong, we must hold them accountable. But when they demonstrate exceptional integrity, we must celebrate them.
ACP Daniel Itse Amah’s rejection of a $200,000 bribe is a shining example of professionalism worth celebrating. If we amplify police misconduct, we must also amplify police excellence. Let us condemn the bad, celebrate the good, and support the ongoing reforms being championed by the police leadership to build a more professional, accountable, and people-oriented Nigeria Police Force. 🇳🇬

NPF x INTERPOL
As one of Africa’s leading contributors of data to INTERPOL’s global systems, Nigeria plays a key role in assisting law enforcement in detecting and disrupting crime across borders. Nigeria’s IGP’s visit to INTERPOL Secretariat in Lyon, France, is therefore strategically significant.
I am pleased to learn that the discussion focussed on how INTERPOL can support Nigeria in addressing major security challenges including cybercrime financial crime terrorism and organised crime networks that increasingly operate across regions and jurisdictions.

JUNGLE JUSTICE: MOB RULE IS MURDER
In an exclusive interview at the Force Headquarters, Louis Edet House, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu delivered a clear and uncompromising message on the growing menace of mob violence in Nigeria.
“Jungle justice is murder. It is not justice; it is a crime.”
An accusation is not a conviction. Suspicion is not proof. No individual or community has the right to assault or kill a suspect. Those who take the law into their own hands must be held criminally accountable.
