Adam Carmon was locked up in 1994 for a murder conviction a judge later threw out, citing police and prosecutor misconduct and evidence kept from his defense.
Now New Haven has agreed to pay. Connecticut had already paid him $7.9 million.

"It was a HATE CRIME," the family says.
A Black father and son got into an argument with a man at an Omaha gas station. In the parking lot, he started screaming:
"Do you want to f***ing die? Look at me!"
According to the affidavit, he told them: "You wanna get shot? You're in West O now."
Prosecutors say he then opened fire.
Police say one of the victims is believed to be permanently PARALYZED. The family says it's the father, 48, and that his 23-year-old son was shot in the liver.
"My dad was a hero that night," his daughter said. She says he went for the gun to protect his son.
The family believes he targeted them because they're Black. "He had no reason to do this."
David Seyler, 31, faces six felony charges, including assault, terroristic threats and weapons charges. Bond is $750,000, and prosecutors say the charges carry up to 205 years.
Back in March, he was sentenced to 48 days in jail after a strangulation case ended in a misdemeanor conviction.
So why was he still carrying a gun?

A passenger pointed at people on a Delta flight at JFK and yelled the N-word as police walked him off the plane...
...and he wanted it filmed. "Put it on Instagram!"
Sources told the NY Post he was arrested and charged with assault, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
Delta says it has "zero tolerance for disruptive behavior." The flight left 45 minutes late.
He asked for an audience. The whole plane clapped when he left.
Delta confirmed the passenger was removed.

Thomas Jr. also claims one image appeared to have been taken inside his father’s former home in Mexico. Another hard drive reportedly contained suspected abuse material alongside his father’s professional résumé.

CONVICTED: A father of four sexually abused a 17-year-old girl on a JetBlue flight while traveling with his wife and four children.
📍 Boston, Massachusetts
Jonathan Alan Lefman, 48, repeatedly pushed his fingers through a gap in the airplane seat in front of him to grope the teenager’s buttocks during a flight from Puerto Rico to Boston.
The girl initially thought he was stretching. But as the touching continued, she moved forward and side to side trying to escape his hand.
She eventually spotted his reflection in the seatback monitor and secretly recorded his fingers coming through her seat.
And he didn’t stop when the plane landed. Prosecutors said the abuse continued while passengers waited to get off.
The teenager also recorded Lefman leaving the aircraft. Her family member confronted him and showed the evidence to airline staff.
Lefman reportedly claimed he was stretching.
On October 16, a federal jury convicted him of abusive sexual contact.
A 17-year-old had to document her own sexual abuse while trapped in an airplane seat. Her evidence helped hold him accountable.
Lefman faces up to only TWO YEARS IN FEDERAL PRISON, with sentencing scheduled for January 12, 2027.

In 2025, Court records reveal Travis-Nunnally had previously been ordered to complete ANGER MANAGEMENT after threatening a woman with a knife if she broke up with him.
He failed to complete it, missed a court hearing, and a charge for violating the court order was dismissed.

Paul Vincent Critti, 21, sent unsolicited Instagram messages threatening murder, rape and hanging towards a Black woman.
Police say he then sent the woman his LIVE LOCATION and challenged her to confront him.
The woman reported the threats to the FBI. Critti was arrested and charged with a felony involving hate-motivated written threats.
HE DIDN’T EVEN KNOW THE WOMAN HE WAS THREATENING. SHE REPORTED HIM TO THE FBI.

John A. Camardo III, 47, was an executive pastor at The Chapel and a girls' travel soccer coach.
He pleaded guilty to second-degree rape for sexually assaulting one child in 2024 and to a separate charge involving repeated sexual abuse of a second child between 2025 and 2026.
THE BETRAYAL GOES EVEN DEEPER.
Camardo had previously served as an advocate for people alleging sexual abuse by another former pastor associated with the same church.
Now he's been sentenced for sexually abusing two children himself.

Jor'Dynn Duncan was just 7 years old when she died from a massive untreated infection. Investigators also documented bruises, scars and bite marks.
Her legal guardian, Emily Kelly, 50, faces murder charges. Kelly's mother, Barbara Renner, 75, faces manslaughter charges, while her daughter, Elyssa Seymore, 24, faces unlawful imprisonment charges.
Investigators recovered PHOTOS AND VIDEOS documenting the torture from Kelly's phone and online accounts.
Jor'Dynn had also missed approximately 40 days of school. Prosecutors say Kelly fabricated excuses, including a trip to Disney World, to conceal the abuse.
Now Jor'Dynn's body has been exhumed as investigators continue gathering evidence, with permission from her biological mother.
Her mother is suing Suffolk County for $250 million, alleging failures by child protective services and other authorities.

Police identified Bryan Schmidt as the suspected killer in Sunday’s quadruple murder-suicide.
His victims were his father James Schmidt, 80; mother Rebecca Schmidt, 77; son Maclaine Schmidt, 22; and girlfriend Nicole Heiser, 37.
Investigators believe Schmidt shot all four at close range before killing himself.
Neighbors reportedly mistook the gunshots for firecrackers during a Chicago Bears game.
Three generations of one family were wiped out, along with a woman who was in a relationship with the killer.
