Many of my advanced heart failure patients waiting for Tx or MCS need 10-20 liters of fluid removal. They end up getting fluid in the process simultaneously with diuresis in the form of colloid. Adrian is right but we still need to teach the concepts and correct application.

This may not an acute event of PE though it cannot be ruled out by one image. Once thrombolysis is administered, using ECMO is fraught with its own complications.
