Part of me dies every time in my lectures I mention that fishing industry is one of the biggest polluters of oceans. Or that 40% of marine animals who are killed, including sharks, dolphins, or turtles, are bycatch, i.e. accidentally killed. Part of me dies because each individual fish who painfully gets suffocated or smashed to death should be a good enough of a reason not to consume fish and animal products. It shouldn't take ruining the oceans, killing dolphins, or seeing turtles trapped in nets to realize harming animals is wrong. Please go vegan from your next meal. You can do this ✌️
