“Ámame, Quiéreme” was written by Selena’s brother A.B Quintanilla III and won “Best Duo of the Year” at the Tejano Music Awards in 1990. This song, found on her self-titled album “Selena”, will mark 35 years since its release next week.

RARE FACT: Selena Gomez was almost named Priscilla. Her parents originally planned on that name, but after a cousin claimed it first, they named her after their favorite singer, Selena Quintanilla! A little twist of fate before she even arrived.

She was literally named after Selena Quintanilla. Just loud and wrong. Selena is so big we still mourn her 30 years later. Get a grip
